Thanks for this Terry. I have a Nikon D-800e that I want to tether to a computer, but don't want to save the images to the computer itself. Really just want to use it to see composition before shooting and save the images to the card in the camera. Do you know of a decent way to transmit the image wirelessly from my d800 to an ipad? Is there anyway to have a "live" slide show, for like an event? Take a picture, picture is displayed for a few seconds (on a tv screen or projector), and then gets added to a slideshow that is continuously updating/playing. We have an event in a few months and I'd love to take photos during the event and have them displayed (as a slideshow) for all the guests to see......

Hi Terry. This video helped me out a lot. Thank you. I have a question: what is that cube-shaped piece attached to the L bracket on the left side of your camera, where the cable is entering from the bottom? I'm looking for a cable attachment solution for my D850 and all the current Tether Tools options are decent but not exactly right for how I work. Trying to make my own. But what is that box on your camera? I didn't see anything like that on the current Tether Tools website. What you have looks elegant.

Two questions - Is is possible to wireless tether from the Nikon Z6 (as the wireless download option is a pretty useful new feature on this camera) ? Also - is tethering possible/coming for Lightroom CC on the iPad Pro ? Do hope both of these will be possible now, or soon
@TerryLeeWhite5 жыл бұрын
Nick Harrison wireless tethering is not supported. However, if you have software that will connect wirelessly and place the images in a folder, you can setup Lightroom to Watch the folder and auto import the images. Sadly Apple has not provided the necessary hooks to tether to an iPad.
@Nick-135 жыл бұрын
@@TerryLeeWhite I suspected as much, but I must say the built in wireless transfer from Nikon Z6 to iPad and iMac, and therefore to Lightroom Classic CC, is a big step forward over previous Nikon cameras (all via their own software - SnapBridge, etc). Still not the same functionality as Lightroom tethering, but a move in the right direction. Thanks

Hello Terry and thank you for your wonderful tutorials. I am having an issue with Tethering with LRC. Not sure what I am doing wrong. The image on Live View shows up in a landscape format but then the image in the preview mode ( big window) is showing in Portrait mode and also in all of the images es when they are saved. This started happening while I was shooting a session and now I have the issue with all new sessions. I tried to fix it by restoring the LRC software to original factory settings but I could not f get it fixed. Any Suggestions?

@@xKenn Hello XKen and thank you for your response. Let's see if I understood correctly. When I am viewing my images in the Library Mode, I can rotate them by clicking on the arrows that appear right next to the star section. ( bottom left corner of the window) This works, except I have to do this to every single image and every time I take a new shot. Shouldn't the images load up with the same orientation as they appear on the LIVE MODE?

Good evening Terry. How are you? I was meaning to ask you about thether shooting. I’m thinking of buying a D5600 Nikon. I brought my MacBookPro running OS X 10.15 (beta version) named Catalina; and my laptop that is loaded with the software Lr Classic CC that’s on a trial subscription for 14 days to a Nikon showroom to test if the D5600 is compatible with Lr Classic CC for thether shooting. We selected File-> Thether Capture -> Start Thether Capture. The software is not able to detect the camera and a box shows that the software is trying to connect to the camera. I thought it might be a cable issue; so we tried downloading the images using File -> Import Photos and Video of Lr Classic CC; and we are able to download the images taken from by camera that’s stored in the SD card. This means nothing is wrong with the cable. I did all of this together with a product specialist from Nikon (ThinkDarhma Inc. ) I’m residing in Manila, Philippine. So far Adobe chat is not able to help me solve this issue. Do you have a suggestion? Thanks for the help.
