3:06 the sprite animation was used in tidal tempest when sonic was running against the fans in the water. I noticed this when I was playing sonic CD, when I was running against a fan there is 1 pixel frame of sonic doing this animation. I believe it was scrapped because they decided instead of sonic running against the fan he would be pushed back when he interferes with the blowing. And if your looking for that 1 frame you need good eyes to see it. *SORRY IF THIS IS ALREADY EXPLAINED*

As a kid I somehow deleted a file from my official sonic CD pc disc, every time after you put it in (even to this day) you can install it fine, but it will treat it as an illigal copy and put that creepy face and song. As a kid this scared me to no end, since everything was legitimate and I even paid for it back then. It was like I was being punished for buying the game. I have no idea how I did it and I got another copy that works now, but still... I've got to wonder what I deleted to get it to happen...

The Windows 9x version was actually my first Sonic game, kinda wish I still had it but I gave it to friend a long time ago. The remade version is still good and all, but the physics are slightly different and a few tricks aren't possible. A bit jarring because there is a few spots where it was obvious the game was designed to let you build up time travel speed but you can't do it in the remake.

Actually you can see the final fever text by installing a complete save file level select (all it does is make a “complete” save file give you a zone select) and then uninstalling the mod when a save file is at a complete status, and then you can see the text. Trying to load it crashes the game tho.

Fun fact! Sonic used to have a sort of spoof on the spider-sense, called the Sonic-sense! If there was danger nearby, he would sneeze, hence why he had a sneezing animation. Its not used anymore, but I wonder if the reason Sonic holds a finger under his nose so much in recent times, its a modern form of the Sonic-sense? Perhaps holding in the sneeze?

It’s weird, usually when you insert a saga cd disk into a regular CD player, you would be given an audio warning complete with nightmare fuel. Sonic CD however, gives you its OST instead.

Fast Facts (not really it’s just wordplay): The animation of Sonic sneezing was for when pollen lands on him in the Collision Chaos zone, but it was scrapped along with the mechanic because it would’ve been annoying. The sprites of Sonic hanging on to a horizontal pole, as well as the unused shooting and drowning sounds were used in the Mobile remake. The last shrugging special stage sprite does not represent sinking into quicksand. Final Fever was originally supposed to be only accessible after the final boss if you had all the time stones and would be to where the robot in the background would be invincible, but you’d have to time travel to the past to damage it. The robot was supposed to attack with it’s fists.
