I can't even guess the number of hours i have played the GB Tetris. Such a blast. Tetris Worlds (XBox) and The New Tetris (N64) also got a lot of gameplay from me. And though i haven't given it as much play time as those others, Tetris Party Deluxe (Wii) gets a special mention because the sheer amount of wacky modes and options. I have to agree that the "jukebox" feature was great in the older games. Other than Outrun, not much comes to mind that let you choose your songs back then. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the NES Tengen release, if you've ever played it.

Dr. Mario also has the song select feature - some real bops there too. Does Super Hang On? I don’t remember. Is Tengen Tetris the really expensive one? I’d love to try it given the means.

At first I thought you were being sarcastic at the start of this video but then I remembered that this is Majora T talking, a guy who unclogged a shelf of Bandai Golf unironically. I suppose somebody has to gush about these basic games. This is followed by a quick sermon on how tetris works, this sermon changed my life, I mean now I actually can play Tetris in public and when people call me out for it, I will tell them that the tetris gods smile down on me, can they say the same? I suppose I'm so used to "Play Tetris N00B" as an insult whenever I play with angry teammates in Warcraft 3 multiplayer that has led me to believe that Tetris is a joke... but I have played Tetris and it's alright... but I can think of better games to spend my time on than Tetris. Tetris is a piece of history sure but I couldn't stomach it for too long, it gets boring after a while. Did you know that I actually own a Tetris Mini arcade machine, I'm not talking like the ones that Alex owns I'm talking about a handheld micro one. I use it at work when it's not busy and I'm bored sometimes but other than that, I never play it. Tetris is the game you play on the crapper or to kill time, not to indulge in, thats just my take at least. It is however the best game to introduce to the elderly who are not familiar with videogames because of how simple they are but for a person such as myself who has lots of games, very little time, it's hard for me to dedicate time towards playing such an antiquated, basic videogame in my free time. Tetris is the sort of game I play when I want to feel old and boring... which given the fact that I'm now in my 30s, is something I want to avoid feeling.
