TETRIS - Retro-Bit Go Retro! Portable V1.3

In 2018, Retro-Bit released a handheld system running on NOAC (Nintendo On A Chip) hardware that featured various licensed Famicom and NES games. Tetris is one of the featured games, however this version of Tetris was made from the ground up specifically for this handheld likely so that it follows the Tetris Guideline although it could be as simple as not wanting to use the existing Famicom and NES versions of the game. As a side note, the version I am playing was updated to remove hard drops likely due to accidental inputs from the not so great d-pad on the handheld.
Frank Cifaldi has also uploaded footage of this version of Tetris and I would recommend checking it out if you want to see the earlier version with hard drops.

I didn't know that they removed the hard drop in this version, it was unplayable with it. Do you plan to make a full overview of this new version of the console? There's almost no information about it. Apparently, even if Ring King is mentioned on the box, it isn't listed in the Featured Games menu.

I could do an overview but there's not too much to talk about. I know from testing that the audio is a bit scuffed compared to original hardware and of course there's tons of junk extra games outside of the licensed ones that are already documented on wikis such as bootleggames.

@@Bro3256 Oh, it's ok. Maybe just a recording of the lists of games of this new version of the console could work then. It would be useful to see what are the differences with the 2018 "Capcom" version, as this one includes Technos games, more Data East games and even some more "Extra" games, like the Inventor hack of Nintendo's Pinball, called "Hoodle".

There really needs to be a dump of this, particularly the hard drop version for use on anything better then this not very good handheld.

apparently from what I've heard the reason this has yet to be dumped is that these handhelds that contain the game are still being sold so it's really a waiting game for this to become abandonware for folks to be comfortable with publicly releasing it in the wild

@@Bro3256 hopefully that’s the case because the hardware it’s on is the biggest hindrance to playing it with poor button construction causing miss input so bad that they ended up having to remove the hard drop feature.
