Haven't played TGM in a long time, but since this is the game that made me get into Tetris more seriously I decided to get the switch version when it released. Good to see that after a few days of derusting I've gotten more consistent.
Also shoutouts to the 6 seconds I lost at the end by locking the T piece one frame to early lmao

@@ryanr27 the joke is that the original creator of the game Mihara-san used to be really pissy about emulation and clones but since this is an arcade game with (until now) no home console release those were bound to happen so this quote from him ("winner does not use the emulator and never clone") turned into a bit of a meme in the tgm-adjacent communities

What type of game is this? First time I've seen the credits come up during a game

It's a time attack based game, the credits here are more of a victory lap for reaching the highest grade but the sequels do more interesting stuff with them, as in, you basically have to play while they roll in the background and the pieces turn invisible to get higher grades, you should check them out

how do you move it faster then me? do you start holding left or right before it spawns?

yes you don't have to wait for the piece to be on screen, if you start holding left or right after locking a piece then that time does count towards the delay before the next piece starts zooming it's pretty good to get used to holding left or right early as that saves a lot of time that you can use to actually maneuver the piece where you need to at the higher levels

@@Oshisaure well my only problem is sometimes it doesn't rotate when i press rotate because of that i can only get to s3

@@Kadencabs you can hold rotate before the piece spawns as well to spawn it already rotated, that's very important for line pieces in particular cause with the old mechanics this game has the line piece sucks to rotate otherwise as it won't stand up from a flat floor

@@Kadencabs yeah this game is from 1998 so it doesn't use the standard rules that we're used to now, since those were originally made in 2001 and made standard right after. that includes how the pieces rotate so you kinda need to get familiar with the rules of this game to be really good at it s3 is definitely a start though, keep it up
