Teufel THX System 6 || Here's my Review of these Speakers

What do I think of the Teufel THX System 6 speaker system? Review is delivered in English! This is the short version of the review.

+ Affordable (direct to manufacturer keeps costs down)
+ Decent build quality (the LCRs and the dipoles, not the subwoofer)
+ Very clean, crisp sound (a bit dry, but very accurate)
+ Speedy delivery to the UK, even from Germany
+ Very high level of detail
+ Front soundstage is perfectly integrated
+ Dipoles are excellent (especially in small rooms)
+ THX Certified Select certification gives buyer some assurance of quality
+ 8 week risk-free home demo - WOW!
+ Did I mention the price was good?
+ MTM LCR speakers - a very widely dispersed sound even from seat to seat
+ Flat membrane cones - again, this is very well thought out by Teufel for the application of home cinema
+ Multiple grille options in the box (one pair is magnetic..yay)
+ Subwoofer lights up...quite cool
- Please...just publish one fixed price on your website (no 'sales' please..you're giving me anxiety)
- Subwoofer: fit and finish leaves alot to be desired
- Subwoofer: I'd like more power, extension and precision (especially when used as a music subwoofer)
- Email support: still not heard back yet
- Some won't like the brand prestige (looking at the website, they seem to sell alot of bargain products which devalues the brand a bit)

My only concern is Dipole technology was made redundant with the introduction of DD5.1. Dipole speakers were designed for Dolby Surround sound, so a Mono rear channel, no we have directional specific channels, so dipole is no good.

Amazing stuff, and it was my pleasure to make this video. I think you'll be happy with the System 6 to be honest...I haven't heard better for the price if we are talking strictly movies!

@@I-M-M-E-R-S-I-O-N Hello Daniel, hope you're all well and good. They are passive speakers, but just to clarify, the subwoofer in the system is active. I've tried many AV receivers: Yamaha, Marantz, Pioneer, Sony, Onkyo, Denon, Anthem (just to name a few). I always, always, always go back to Yamaha. For me, they get the right blend of audio quality, natural sound and the way they steer surround sound effects around a room seems the most exciting and dynamic. They also have the best cinema dsp modes if that's your thing. The movie modes can be engaged, and to me, the way Yamaha does the enhanced movie modes sounds better than the competition by a mile. I think the only downside of Yamaha is the YPAO calibration. One the plus side, it is probably the most simple system out there. However, the calibration microphone they give you is cheap (most of them are). You can still calibrate your sound system yourself if you have a very good room calibration microphone and some software to help you set the parametric EQ correctly. Sorry - forgot to recommend you amp wattage. They' are not very sensitive speakers which means they will probably need a bit more amplification to sound loud and distortion-free. So, try get an amp with maybe 100w a channel RMS to be worthy of these speakers. That should be enough - more amplification will mean more money, and likely better audio quality. I'd always recommend try and get the best amplifier you can buy because it does make a difference

Anything from the Yamaha Aventage line-up tends to work consistently well from what I've tried
