People keep on comparing him to Whitney Houston but I myself personally just don't do that, all I hear is Tevin Campbell, maybe to others there's the Whitney influence but I guess I am just a lone individual who marches to a different beat or drummer but of course everyone to their own opinion and rightfully so, even though Tevin admitted to doing everything Whitney by way of singing ( when he was at this age), but he doesn't anymore, he says he now sings his own way but whatever makes him happy then so be it💯👍

In an interview that he gave 3 days ago, he admit that he tried to sound like her. He was heavily influenced by Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. And since he listened to them, he always tried to imitate them. *His words*

@@bsc2thousand yeah I knew about that, he mentioned that also in another interview last year as well as in some other past interviews and yes imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery but even though he has admitted it more than once I myself in my own personal opinion just don't hear the Whitney Houston or Aretha Franklin influence but everyone to their own choosing.. I myself just hear totally and completely Tevin Campbell but it's nice to know that he admires and is heavily influenced by them just the same, so whatever makes him happy then I say , ok so be it but I don't believe that he does that anymore, he 's just being Tevin and singing as Tevin Campbell himself but oh well such a is life, such is life.
