38:00 It speaks volumes about Wolf's skills as an entertainer when he can take a situation where tempers are legitimately flaring, and turn it into comedy to make the fans think it's all part of the act again.

In Hang Tough, Wolf was claiming that Brian kicked him first, taking another look at it, it started when Brian turned upside down on the rings dangerous maneuver there that resulted in a terrible mess and tangle of legs and Wolf was turned on his side, at 37:19 Brian did put a foot in Wolf's Face so Wolf wasn't happy with that, at 37:25 Wolf did put his whole leg in Brian's face more forcefully than Brian and it did look like Wolf was sitting on Brian's Shoulders which could be classed as a Head-Lock. After all that fighting you got to ask yourself who started it, in my opinion it started when Brain turned upside down and caused the tangle of legs, so I do think Wolf had a genuine case in terms of DQ. Wolf was clearly angry about the outcome as I would be if that happened to me, and he certainly wasn't acting his bad character self when he was speaking at the end he was genuinely very angry indeed.

And when you all are watching this 2nd semi final of the 2nd series 1993, after Gauntlet, Steve Quick was unable to compete the next few events and not just an injury he had picked up but just a virus from the stomach and if he couldn't compete 5 more events then there would be a substitute contender that he would be replaced by .... Gary Towers (A PE instructor and a prison officer from Milton Keynes as a stand by.

In the Eliminator although their is NO TIME PENALTY for falling off the Rolling Beam, it takes about 10-15 to get back up onto the course as Helen discovered, so even the easiest of obstacle in the Eliminator can result in being the most time consuming if you fail them.

The most dramatic and eventful show in the series' history. Hang Tough was the decider, really. Helen hurt her back coming down and even though she came back, you could tell she was severely limited. At the same time, those unfair 10 points Bryan got against Wolf put him ahead of Gary in the Eliminator. Gary did catch up, but like he said, he spent too much energy trying to do so.
@asherandai100011 ай бұрын
You say that, but as Helen said herself she didn't want to twist with her back so she was just standing straight and pushing. Don't know if it's the same as duel and joust, but pushing is against the rules in both of them so I would assume it's the same in suspension. Also by not swinging the stick she had a much easier time keeping her balance, which isn't something she's normally good at. So in my opinion had she not been hurt, she wouldn't have gotten those 10 points. And she was never that quick on eliminator anyway (also what happened to the 10 second penalty for falling off?)
@philsswweightlossdiary294411 ай бұрын
@@asherandai1000 I may be wrong, but I think as long you're using the 'hammerhead' you can push on suspension bridge. She was using the ends so I think that's why it counted. In later seasons, pushing was made legal anyway. As for the 10 second penalty, this was only series 2, maybe it wasn't a rule that early on.
@asherandai100011 ай бұрын
@@philsswweightlossdiary2944 possible. I don’t think we ever really got a clear picture of the rules for each event so I’m not sure either way 🤷🏻♂️ but my main point was that she only did that because she was hurt, so if she hadn’t been hurt she wouldn’t have picked up the 10 points.

Oh stop with the Zodiac bashing on being the worst gladiator, its completely exaggerated. Falcon really struggled with 3 loses on Skytrak, 3 out of 4 loses on Suspension Bridge. Scorpio got her arse kicked on Duel with a double defeat and a lose here on Suspension Bridge and a few on The Wall. Zodiac has started to really improve in recent episodes as filming has commenced. She did a decent job marking Helen in Atlaspheres within last 40 secs and she has caught Georgia on The Wall who had two wins in pervious shows against Scorpio. The only 1on1 events she's been on this season (due to a hand tendons injury ) was Tilt and DangerZone with 50/50 results.
