It's a no-nonsense TV show, with several singers performing each others' songs, or songs with a significant meaning, often in a very different style. So, no nagging b.s. judges, no golden buzzer or whatever. Just a bunch of artists having fun and often becoming friends afterwards.

'Beste Zangers' has a double meaning in Dutch. Indeed it is 'Best Singers', but also 'Dear Singers' as in an introduction. Every season there are some nice surprises of singers which were a little unknown to a broad audience in the Netherlands until then. This happened of course with Floor Jansen as she participated in the 2019 season. Thanks to reactors such as you they are given yet more exposure worldwide.

The show takes 7 singers from different genres of music and put them together in a resort on Ibiza. In every episode one of them is placed central and all 6 others each sing a song that has a meaning for the central placed person. That can be something he/she did perform or something with a memory to it. Because the singers are all from different genres it is possible that they have to step out their own music style comfort zone or transform a song to their comfort zone. It is no competition but just a gathering to honor each other, sharing stories and bring up memories. The 8th and last episode of the season is the fun duet show. Each singer has to choose one of the others to perform a duet.

Beste Zangers is not a contest. Singers from different styles are brought together on the Spanish island of Ibiza for abt 5 days. They don’t really know eachother. They sing eachothers songs or songs that mean something to them. Every episode one is in the guest seat and sung to. The last episode is for duo’s. Every episode the “guest” chooses the song that moved him/her the most. Davina’s HET DUURT TE LANG is a must hear. It put her on the singers map! ❤️🌷🌷🌷🥕🌷🌷🌷

It's a show about tributing each other's work and loves. Every week one of them is the center of attention and the others sing for that person whit so much love. Everybody is a professional singer but all whit another background. The latest season just started last Thursday ❤️

Ok, so this is a Dutch show called “Beste Zangers”, which means Best singers or Dear singers. Every season shows 7 artists from completely different backgrounds; singers who were big in the 80’s, very young singers who are doing covers on KZbin, and everything in between. They all have different genres: Pop, rock, jazz, classical, hip hop, you name it. Every artist gets one episode where the other artist from their season sing one of this artist’s songs, one of this artists favourite songs, or something from their genre. That creates all sorts of wonderful performances. In the last episode, several singers team up for duets, such as this one. Check more out of this show!

The basis is that 'the best singers' (you can argue about that) sing each other most famous songs each (..and that could maybe cover sometimes too) in their own way/repertoire. It's more a tribute than a contest. Like a rapper does an opera song and vice versa.

basically it is a serenade to the singer on the couch next to the presenter, they pick either songs that artist has produced or has a emotional memory with, each on of the singers get an episode where they are serenaded. the serenaded singer gets to pick an honerary "winner"of that episode.

It’s from Carmen the opera. But in her own version. She is obviously not an opera singer. Most singers go out of their comfort zone by singing a different style.

The comments below are all right. It is not an competition but it started out like one some 12 years ago. Season 1 started in July 2009 as a quest to find your replacement as singer if you got ill. That's why 'beste zanger' the best replacement as also in Dutch it is like a salutation to a letter 'Beste zangers zou een van jullie mij kunnen vervangen.......' Best singers could one of you replace me.......! In the first few seasons they used a sort of score board were the best of the show got a spitting image character on the and of a pole and hammered it off to seal the deal.

It's a music program in Holland with all kind of singers, from all kinds of music styles, singing songs from each other or songs what important for the person, who is this week the person who the others singers sing for, every week another person end the last week are duets with each other, no contest

She has 4 years of weekly covers... The ones from over 1 or 2 years ago are just second to none.. I think maybe because she was only mainly posting covers on KZbin.. You are going to love that list..
