WOW! I didn't know I lived so close to the #1-#3 lakes. We are in Fort Worth, and just bought a cabin cruiser and are looking forward to going on an adventure around the us boating at different lakes. We are trying to get ideas where to start and this is very exciting that we are so close to great lakes.

Some people like like Lewisville Lake and it is just North of the Dallas County Line in Denton County ... it is on both sides of I-35

The lake and surrounding areas provide me with a lot of great film locations. I love the Hill Country.

The HIll country back in the 70's was just AWESOME. We went camping there for a week and I too fell in love. NOW.......urban sprawl has consumed a lot of the Hill Country MAGIC and everyone wanting to move there BECAUSE it was so vibrant and natural. I remember when Round Rock was your typical tiny town....that now has been swallowed by the sprawl

The ONLY thing I dont like about this show, which I REALLY enjoy, is the voting is all online for the various "Best of ___________." I spent MANY weekends in East Texas on Lake Livingston, catching fish, swimming, etc etc. We were lucky enough to have a tiny piece of lakefront property with a cabin/shack....(no running water but we had electricity) We spent many weekends and summers there, driving 2 hours from Houston I remember the lake filling up as a small child

Geographically, Sabine Lake is a bay not a lake. The short run to the Gulf is a channel, not a river. One very interesting thing about Lake Sabine, It goes by Lake Sabine or Sabine Lake. I know of no other lake to do so.

Texas has to build man made lakes due to the beaches being over polluted.
@curingyou6 жыл бұрын
It's not polluted, it's just that we have a gulf and the water is constantly mixing making it foggy and murky.
