@timothy wait You pat kids on the head? lol They're not Labradors. If I saw some stranger put a hand on my kid without a good reason, I'd be inclined to inform them to keep their hands to themselves if they wish not to lose them. What's a good reason? If a kid is walking into danger or has fallen over and crying.. common sense stuff. Otherwise hands off.

This kinda reminds me of the novel "A Time to Kill" by John Grisham about a man who's daughter is raped and when the pedos come out of the court house scott-free he mows them down with a rifle.

That dad showed so much restraint, I can't even imagine the scenario without becoming angry. It's like he said, it feels like the jailtime would be worth it. I think that if people had that attitude "hurt my child and my revenge will be worth the time in jail" then less people would hurt children, they'd be too scared to try.

the state takes fathers out of homes and extorts them on top of it. most households are single "moms" with addiction problems who bring multiple men in and out of the house while the children and their forced absent father suffer. THis also puts the kids into the grips of chomos. Great world.

you've got to understand, being molested for that long is such an alien situation that the victim doesn't want to open up for fear of becoming a social outcast. also, that creep won the trust of the family fairly early, so of course they didn't see this coming.

EssentialSims No I wouldn't. That was my point, how can I protect them rotting in a prison cell for the rest of my life. My child would be after loosing her father over something that happened to her so she'd probably blame herself on it and become depressed and suicidal. As parents we always have to think of the bigger picture and outside the box,as every action has a reaction. Now if I walked in and caught the scumbag in the act, that would be a different story as I'm well in my legal rights to react and protect my family.

If you ment if he touched my children I've already explained that so read it.

Philip OReilly well I’m guessing we all have our different ways of solving the situation some would kill him, some would just beat him near death, or wait for the cops. I've seen a similar situation where my friend had his pistol to his father's head until the sheriff arrived, it's a wonder how he managed to not shoot that pig fuck, but now his father's back out of jail. 5 years is not nearly enough time for such a crimes. For God sakes,my friends daughter is now 19. She was 6-7 when it began an and 11-12 when he was arrested. Him being in in jail until she's 18 or so is not a just sentence to us. Let's hope none of us see him because everyone here but felons have guns, and more of us have values with tempers. For everyones sake,I hope that man get out of this place now that he's free again. Trust me when I say even after 5-6 years, those wounds are still fresh! Mainly in my friends heart, along with his daughter! His Dad better keep his distance or someone may end up deceased!!! Which is the last thing my buddy wants to leave his children for!!, A pathetic poor piece of dog shit his father turned out to be!

Didn't they basically just invite him in their home then call the cops as if they didn't invite him. Then confess it on the news like morons. This is taking a huge risk here if prosecutors decide to prosecute this they could well get in trouble for a false 911 call. While I'm glad the guy got caught the way they did it could potentially get in trouble from it. Although I would probably consider it worth it if I was in there shoes. Because putting away someone for a sex crime like this and all you had to do was go to jail briefly for false 911 call I would do it 100%. And I'm astonished that the father didn't get arrested for assault but I'm guessing the police use discretion here.

Thank God for these parents. I was molested by a friend of my mom's boyfriend while she was in the next room . I screamed and hollered for her help, but was ignored. I was only 15. This was the 60's and there were very few laws to help me. Fortunately someone had left a knife on the table by the couch, I was able to grab it and threaten him, I got away to my bedroom where I cried forever. I was taken away from my "mother" months later, along with my other siblings. I was fortunate to get really wonderful foster parents. I was much loved as were they. They've been gone for years now, but I still love and miss them. I know God was watching over me. I'm an old lady now and will go home to heaven soon. God has always been by my side and soon I'll be by His. God Bless you all.
