Brian: What resources do you use to find camping spots along your routes? That’s often the most difficult part of planning a trip for me.

I use google maps. Both searching and looking at satellite view in city parks too looking for gravel rv pads. I have actually found a lot of good sites that way. Also there is a website freecampsites that has a map with some.

Any sign of those treacherous west Texas thorns yet? It seems like all those who ride through west Texas encounter numerous flats due to those thorns. So far it seems you haven’t had any issue with them.
