Great video! I have dropped a 40-50 lb. pig with one shot at 47 yards with my Taipan veteran .22 with JSB 18.13 at 880 fps. The pigs are very wary, I rarely get a shot at one.

They are very smart, for the most part. I wish I had them around my part. I would hunting then all the tine.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I hunt with a Texan 457 and on hogs shot placement is key. At times I wished I had a faster follow up like with the Vulcan.
@easternblocairguns27282 жыл бұрын
Yea, shot placement is key for all airguns.

Awesome shot placement! Dropped them in their tracks. Kind of wish you wouldn’t have went the high fence route, but o well at least your boy got some good experience out of it!! Hopefully the haters don’t get mad about the trotting shot lol... but I’d of done the same thing 100%

Yea, I dont like the high fence, but after a few failed hunts I became warmer now to it. Plus, I wanted the kid to be successful.

SO!, Now many lbs of sausage? Still got the K1?, Good for a follow up. Thanks for the video, Good luck
@easternblocairguns27282 жыл бұрын
180lbs (2/3 mix sausage 1/3 raw meat). Right now I dont gave a huben. Semi autos make me sloppy. Sold all semi, for now. I do have an eye on another specialized Huben in .25. I would like a super Hp slug shooter. I know someone working on one.

Nicely done Sir…. I can see with the Texan, you might only get one shot. A follow up is probably a 5 second proposition in realist conditions. If using a full size Texan, would the barrel length have caused any difficulty in negotiating any obstructions where you were hunting? Also, if you had 240-250 FPE would you had been comfortable in taking a body shot or is 240-250 still not enough to try anything other than a head shot (in .308)?
@easternblocairguns27282 жыл бұрын
Thx. Yes, Texan was long and cumbersome in the stand also. I forgot to mention that. Most situations 250fpe would work with body shots. But, I even heard stories about guys shooting them eith 12ga slugs (or72cal) from shotgun and they still ran off into the thick foliage and swamps before they died. So, it your going to shoot them in the head, it does not matter as much if it is 80fpe or 250fpe. Still needed to hit the brain, they are tough animals

I once killed a 80 kg wild hog with the .25 vulcan bullpup hitting it right behind the ear. Hogs ( jabali) are a pest here, but I enjoyed it over a charcoal BBQ together with my neighbors.

Great gun, arnt they?
@son-of-a-gun2 жыл бұрын
@@easternblocairguns2728 yes the vulcan. 25 is a great gun. It's solid and well build. It does not have the infinite tuning possibilities as the latest fx have, but I don't need that really. When I grab the vulcan bp, it works flawlessly.. always!! It's not for 150 mtr shooting but does very well on 80 mtr. I love it.

Excellent like always, and totally agree with your final comments, with airguns a perfect shoot to the brain is much more important than a lot of power, I have take several hogs with airguns, the last three ( including a 190 pounds ) were all taken with my Huben K1 5.5 , all of them dead instantly with a brain shoot, you can check those hunt in my channel, greetings from Uruguay!!!.

Great! Will check that! I loved my Hubens! Amazing gun! Thanks!
