I'd like to thank you for this video. I bought my TI brand new, way back when and was also experiencing a dry ink roller. Since I was in the stamp pad business over 45 years ago I have all sorts of ink, stamp pads, etc...I have reinked rollers of self-inking stamps, calculators, etc... But what you gave me was the how to get the roller OUT of the calculator. I didn't want to force it because its in there fairly snugly. So now I can reink the roller and continue to use it. Modern calculators without a paper tape suck. Even banks and Credit unions still use paper tapes because you can reference back to the printout to double check your figures. Some things never change because they were a great idea in the first place.

I bought a Texas Instruments TI 5006 II dated 1994 purely for the curio/vintage aspect of it, you can't help but laugh at the technology...but in the day they worked and worked well..in some respects they still do!🐵💨🤖

Can you do a video about adding machine logic and the differences between them and calculators? I'd watch that.
