*BOTTOM LINE.* Stalking laws need to be revisited Nationwide. Restraining orders DO *NOT* work. Reports of stalking need to be taken seriously and punishment needs to be severe. Stalkers have the *_intention_* to harm and or k_ill their victims. Another woman recently went to the police station after realizing an ex boyfriend followed her while dropping her child off at school. He followed her to the police station, held the door open for the responding officer, they let him go and didn't take her report .... a few hours later, the ex k_illed her.
