Welcome to Texas, Dave! The Chaparral Gallery at the Petroleum Museum is like my second home! I am a member of the Chaparral Crew and was just there in June for the annual party on the patio. I can’t believe they let you sit in the 2E you lucky guy! We need more Chaparral slot cars! I got started in the hobby with the Cox 1/24 models back in the 1960’s (I’m 73 years old now)

Oh Dave...I gotta get down there to see those Chaparrals...absolutely beautiful! I was at every CAN_AM race on the West Coast from 1966-1974...saw Jim Hall's career ending wreck at Las Vegas too in 68! He is the Howard Hughes of Motorsports without a doubt...GREAT STUFF DUDE🏁🏁🏁

Hi from the UK Dave. You are going to have to do the news from your garden when you get back! No paper shaking today, you must be relaxing down there in Texas. Really love the Chaparrals, just magnificent. Thanks for all the work on the Videos, really enjoyable and interesting to watch. Enjoy your trip. AW

ok that is so funny a hornet my brother had one a geek machine but i do remeber the x model
@XA351GT12 сағат бұрын
On the Hornet they could do several versions if they were daring enough. I think Wally Booth had a Pro Stock Hornet in drag racing , Bobby Allison had a Hornet he drove in lower divisions in Stock cars and I don't remember if Amos Johnson ever had a Hornet road Racer . like he did with the Spirit . The Hornet AMX would be a hit a friend of mine uses his 77 as a daily driver

Hey Dave did they have a 1970 Camaro Trans-Am there? I know the real cars are privately owned now but was wondering if they had a accurate replica? I was always surprised the Chaparrals didn't have more wins in Can-Am , but the McLarens dominated from 67-71 .
