Hey Brendan, fished with an older Korean man from NY last week that had a custom rig for Ribbon fish. He had a weighted bobber with glow stick attached- with a 6 foot leader down to some beads and a metal braid. The kicker was he had what looked like a sabiki at the bottom- 4 hooks stacked with lil reflective flys. He was killing Em and was an Awesome guy. Didn't know if you've seen or heard of this setup he said they use it in Japan. Worked extremely well.. He caught a bucket full! He also had glow sticks on the leader and right above the hooks. He cut strips of squid long ways to hook on through all the hooks. I was impressed- if ya read this give it a try- know you tie your own stuff too.

Let me say, I like your videos and feel I've learned a bit from them. I found this one that's about 3-4 years old where you came to Galveston, TX. Next time you're in the area I'd really enjoy going out fishing with you if you wouldn't mind. I go to this pier from time to time and I'm trying to get better at fishing it.

I'm pretty sure we've met on 61st pier about a year ago. Great video.'Awesome tips. Thanks for sharing. Keep them videos coming for folks like me who aren't from Texas and always looking for good spots to fish cause everyone is so tight lipped about where they fish

+Senko Skipper I could be wrong bro but I thought we met before at 61st pier Galveston. But anyways I can understand when freshwater fishing if someone doesn't want to talk about their spots or how they fished a certain area. But when saltwater fishing I'd share info because the ocean is tricky and you got to know what to do

Ignore all these rigs when in Galveston you want a 2 or 3 ounce pyramid sinker tied at the bottom and have a j hook about a foot up. Dead shrimp work but live is best you will start hammering reds, specks, black drum, sheeps head, shark, flounder, the occasional red snapper and of course about 4 or 5 grouper/mullet/hard head aka salt water cat fish.
