One of my ancestors was a Texas Ranger, he is buried in privilege Creek Texas close to Bandera, I grew up in Kerrville, 10 miles outside of Centerpointe and never knew this cemetery was there thanks next time I go back home I will have to visit it.

My greatgrandfather, Addison Kilgore, was a Texas Ranger. He's buried at San Antonio City Cemetery #6.

I served under Sheriff David Byrnes in Kaufman County as a jailer for 9 years. When I saw him he was definitely larger than life. He is a former Ranger and with a bright white pressed shirt and Stetson hat and a shining star, he definitely had a presence! He retired about seven years ago.

I've been a fan of the Texas Rangers for as long as I can remember. Chick Bowdrie of Louis La'Mour fame, always got his man. Thank you for your presentation about this historic cemetery. However, as a Native Texan (and retired career military veteran) I find this cemetery's lawn care neglect shameful. Our Texas Rangers deserve better than that! This last resting place of Texas Rangers should never look this neglected.

I was working on a build down the street for some months, while driving over each day I'd pass Wallace creek, Bigfoot Wallace. What a privilege to live in this area. A friend before passing away took me to a few Ranger graves on private land out here. Without the old day Rangers Texas would have probably never developed and Latin America would be far worse

One morning going up thru San Saba area we listened on the radio to a local old time Ranger telling his stories from his North Texas area, he was so interested and down to earth. Hope they are still taught this way. One stake out for drug growers includes getting covered in ticks and showering at the crime cabin, then fishing and cooking a meal, of catfish. The bad guys never showed up but he played a trick on his partner and got a photo of him running out the cabin wearing nothing but soap and a pump shotgun. They did destroy the crops and stopped the bad guys . Ever stalwart

The first marker of Henry manning was a great great friend of my family Henry was at the dps officer in lockhart Caldwell County texas at the early 60s and later became our fuel distribution before going to be governors guard at the capital in 70s in early 80s we crossed paths in eagle pass as a ranger and I was on a oilfield gas blowout

What a shame. Through the entire video the word "Tumlinson" never came up.They were there in August 1823 and right up till 1968, there was always a Tumlinson as a Texas Ranger. That's a long history of service. And yet...it never came up.Sigh Kelly Tumlinson-Herrington

Its strange how some rangers get ALL the recognition and others youre hard pressed to even find a trace. My 3rd great grandfather was Cornelius P. Coble. He was a ranger for 4 years just after the Civil War ended. He's not mentioned in any of the books LOL

@@jasonroberts9788 Hundreds if not thousands of men served honorably as Texas rangers, but not all were worthy of note in historical books. You can't really blame authors for not writing about your ancestor, if you have not done so yourself.
