Jung and Carter 8 and 9th? That won’t happen. Either Carter won’t play or he’s a top three hitter. He won’t be a sub .700 ops guy and play in front of Wyatt or Leody. Jung slots in ahead of Garcia to start likely. He was on fire in April before he got hurt.

Don't forget Walcott. Plus Smith, Leody, and Duran to give our starters rest. This is a deeper squad than the World Series team. Plus DeGrom is leading a nasty rotation w Eovaldi, Rocker, Gray and Heaney. I would like to see one more bad ass pitcher cus Gray and Heaney are good but not great.

I probably need to listen to the episode again, it was late when I watched, but I’m not seeing it, at least not on paper. His stats just don’t scream this guy is a better hitter to me. Hopefully it will work out great anyway. I’m trying to be optimistic, if he’s as good as everyone is saying, we should shred next year.

I hate to throw a wet blanket on this….but here goes nothing. He has a career .811 OPS, can’t play defense, and can’t hit lefties. Seems like too much money. We had a gold glove first baseman. Who plays now? Burger? Another sub par defender. Now if we get last year Joc and a .900 OPS? All of his faults are forgiven.

Don’t you see Joc as a lead off hitter ON THIS TEAM? Who’s more qualified of the returning starters? Smith? Carter? Definitely NOT Semien. That experiment was a disaster. He should be hitting in the bottom half of the lineup if everyone is hitting how we expect.

Yes the Texas Rangers got Joc Pederson. The Rangers should get back to the playoffs in 2025. They will possibly win the AL West. Whether they can beat the LA Dodgers or NY Mets who knows, but I hope they get a chance to find out.

Semien. 2B Seager. SS. L Langford. LF Jung. 3B Joc. DH. L Garcia. RF Burger. 1B Carter. CF. L Heim/Higgy. C That is easily the best lineup in the AL west and could be the best lineup in the AL.

Heim has to play better. He definitely had a down season along with several other guys so we can say this about others, but he really needs to pick it up in 25.

@@TheSkepticalGrassHopper he had a injury that never fully recovered, a short offseason, WS hangover, and Bochy played him into the dirt. He will be splitting time with Higgy this season and I think that will do wonders for his bat and his health. Catchers can’t be catching more than 100 games a season anymore, especially if they’re going deep into the playoffs.
