I've seen you boat in Caney Creek a few times Corey. I'll have to get your info and schedule a trip sometime. Trey Prye stopped guiding out there and I haven't gone on a trip with anyone since.

Have only been fishing the Galveston area for about 2 years. On my 2nd trip to the jetties I caught a tarpon about 65". Id caught a lot down the Keys but never knew we had any in Texas. But youve got to love it when the waters that clear blue! Am in London right now but back in a month. Keep at em lads n lasses! Soon be time for them Bull Reds!

Great video of your buds catching HUGE Tarpon. Such a rare event in our Upper Texas waters. That's one of my favorite sights, leaping Tarpon. Sure hope to have an opportunity to catch one someday. Tight Lines, Y'all !!!

My son was able to hook a tarpon in Puerto Rico but he was not able to land it. He was 9 years old at the time and actually hooked a fish on artificial before I was able to... lol A very special memory was made that day.

They used to run through the Tx City dike like that some yrs back. Buddy of mine from way back caught a huge one that hung on the wall of the Lighted Fishing Pier for yrs.

They catch them huge off the jetties in south padre island and the east cut jetties in port Mansfield, look up threshers videos on KZbin he almost got spooled by one on the port Mansfield jetties, biggest tarpon I’ve caught was the size of my hand while cast netting bait of course it was released

I witnessed this last year out of Sargent and hooked into one for about 20 min before it spit the hook
