Wow, water levels were way down at Lake Travis!. Texas has a fantastic deal for a year state parks pass. They have fantastic state parks and the camping is discounted with the yearly pass. Just a thought. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.

No matter what, don’t pick the Bluebonnets. State flower, you can get a hefty fine. Since you are in south-central Texas, if you continue to go south through Buda and head towards new Braunfels you need to go tubing on the Guadalupe. It’s probably gonna be busy right now but it’s so wonderful. It’s a beautiful river and it’s so much fun to just float the Guadalupe. ❤ safe travels.

Good morning Christine. So good to see you again. Glad you’re safe. I’m headed to San Antonio tonight but I fly out tomorrow for Nashville. Looks like you’re enjoying your travels in Texas. There is so much to see in that state. Too bad you didn’t head down towards Galveston and that part of the gulf. A lot to see in that east lower part. . Be safe lady

Breathtakingly beautiful Japanese Tea Garden! Love Boondocking at Cracker Barrel’s where you can get great food items and then peruse the gift shop. Always manage to find great presents. Nothing like the wildflowers in Texas to put a smile on your face!💕Great trip you took us on and glad you finally found a place for a cooling swim! Take care and enjoy your travels. I went to those same places last year on a road trip. The same thing happened to be at that Barton Creek river. I went for a walk at the trail right near Barton Springs, and there was no water because it was March. I just assumed there would be water because it didn't feel like a dry season, it was so green all over Austin.

Barton Creek Greenbelt can be hit or miss on water. There's a few places that have water in them longer than the rest of the creek, but I just recommend that people go to Barton Pool or the spillway next to Barton Pool. The spillway is free and people bring their dogs. If you're looking for camping and hiking with a place to swim close to Austin there's Pace Bend and Muleshoe LCRA parks, and Pedernales Falls SP to the west. And if you leave Austin to head out west Enchanted Rock SP is pretty cool, but crowded on weekends. There's no shortage of fun things to do in Central Texas. Enjoy Texas!

Look at you go on those meal choices. I do remember Vernors in Detroit area. After all my healthy choices, I had some licorice myself tonight😄, lived in San Antonio and Austin decades back, so great to see the old places. Wimberley used to be nice, at the time was eating German food. Hill country, Balanced Rock nice, remember also the water tubing in those hot places on the rivers. And Port Aransas. Will look forward to your next adventures. Too bad about the global warming. Lake Travis looked nice. Take care out there.
