Thanks for posting! Lance Sampleton and Mike Hatchett are good friends of my dad. My dad, Dwight E. Jefferson, played DE at Texas from 1975-1979. Fun to see Lance and Mike battle the Sooners during their heyday! My dad also knows Vance Bedford, who is now the DC at Texas.

That was a great game, and that Longhorn team was capable of winning the National Championship! That stupid loss to Arkansas and tie with Houston that screwed that up. I happened to see this team 2 weeks before versus North Texas in Austin! They played and beat a tough Miami team 14-7 a week before this game! Thanks for this post!

PhantomRider05 Barry Switzer did not destroy the Dallas Cowboys it was Jerry Jones and he has continued to destroy the Cowboys to this day the last 20 years the Cowboys are mediocre organization every blue moon they will have a winning record for the season.

@sboudreaux27 Ego's. Jerry has shown time, and time again his ego has to be fed. Jimmy didn't show him the respect Jerry thought a coach should show him. They knew each other from Arkansas days, I don't think Jimmy likes Jerry that much either.

Apparently Barry Switzer has a long distinguished record of screwing up 4&1. Hated him when he was at Oklahoma and hated him more for destroying the Dallas Cowboys in 90's.

"destroyed"? Winning the 1995 Superbowl in his 2nd season? Look I hated the 90's Cowboys with every fiber of my being but I only wish he was as bad as Texas Longhorn fans say and believe. He let the assistants run the team. The Dynasty regressed eventually because players age; but for god's sake, two 12-4 seasons followed by 10-6 is 'destroying' a team?

I love football, watch everybody, am most interested in design and coaching...I've come to the conclusion the majority of fans are awful trolls. You hate Switzer; fine; and hate means saying a team, player, coach totally sucks because his teams caused you pain; and you had to watch them celebrating with confetti falling all around. I hated the Switzer Cowboys even more then Jimmy's team; because for my NFC East team; the whole NFL Reg season was pointless; hoping for upsets, FINALLY got one in 94 NFC championship.

And Cowboys fans are so insufferably awful and Ungrateful; any season any team any QB who didn't win a Superbowl every fucking year SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. You talk about those people EXACTLY like the rest of us who loath the Cowboys. It's not just you; my team has 4 SB wins and 2 in a 5 year span and nobody could stand the coach and GM and even a Hall of Fame players for not being 'as good' as grizzled 1980's players who they surpassed in stat sheets in every way. Tony Romo sucked, of course he sucked, every single Good QB sucks; I Repeat: For ALL Fan bases with a Hall of Fame QB with multiple rings SUCK SUCKS SUCKS because his defense IS NOT the #1 or #2 that Roger Staubach; Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and Tom Brady took to 4 wins. Check out Joe Montana; he isn't even #1 in passing each season; but if he won a ring, his Defense is #1. It's all out there on Profootballreference; but the narratives will never change for the majority of FanBoys Trolling. Nobody older than 30 has any appreciation at all for anything anybody will ever do; just worshipping childhood heroes forever. Thats why the next Patriots QB whoever it is will be winning SB's with the #1 Defense; but he'll still 'suck' unless he gets 6 of them.

Your team, Coach, QB, all suck. And if your rivals beat you; they suck. If you beat them, they suck too, but not as much as when they keep beating you; they're awful cheating frauds if they accomplish that. Years of reading and listening has taught me all of that; just reflecting the mirror back at y'all.
