Thanks Nash! Love your every play videos of the 'Horns. You're the best....

I knew Murphy would struggle early, just natural to do so. Very few, first time starting QB's are going to light it up. I think he did a good job, though Sark needs to game plan with him better. Give him some quicker routes. Slants, etc. Don't be afraid to stick with the run. Spread teams out in short yardage and add the slant route to your repertoire more in the red zone. You've had some decent success with it. Stop lining up in a bunch, where they know you're going to run it. Because we're not quite there yet. Just my opinion. D played great, I know Texas fans get all cranky about playing off on 4th and short, but I've seen multiple schools do the same thing and either make a play or give it up. Same with playing off coverage, plenty of schools do it. Texas isn't doing anything wrong, etc. Anyway, thanks for getting this up and we've got a tough game next week against, now ranked, Kansas State. Though they aren't going to do anything we aren't aware of. They will QB run with both QB's and rotate them each series basically. Should be able to game plan much easier for this one.

Am I the only one worried about our OL.? We got no push on the goaline. Should have had 2 more TDs. We have a huge athletic QB and didn't even try to get him in.

@ 32:51 needs to be a catch. I mean that ball is right there. If Worthy falls out of the first round it will because he put plays like this on tape, where instead of fully extending and catching the ball naturally (think Dwight Clark) he short arms and clap attacks it. Hit the Jugs Machine, Xavier. That’s a beautiful ball by Murphy.
@teecee211 Жыл бұрын
i thought the same - how many receivers high point that ball, even when under thrown, on other teams but seems like texas teams year in and out have trouble with that!
@Nunya_Argo79 Жыл бұрын
Yep, this is spot on, again. He's a great talent, but his hands often times let him down on easy completions. Also, Sark is doing a poor job of spreading the ball around and getting guys in space, imo. We've had a lot of yardage in most games, but not many TD's to show for it. Nothing against today's performance but in the weeks prior. People complained about our defensive effort against Houston, but Smith had his best day and they blew their wad against Texas just like OU. Outside of t hat 3 TD spree they had (where the O had zero points btw on a terrible D) they held them to 3 after that. The O disappointed me more in that Houston game, as they should have put up 40+ points with ease.

not even gonna lie it seems like AD Mitchell is the better WR but worthy’s elusiveness and speed are gonna get him drafted higher.

25:06 should’ve been a catch in my opinion too especially if you wanna play on Sundays. That’s where the defender couldn’t get it but Worthy could and it hit his hands again

@ 13:46 Jonathan Brooks with potato level pass protection. At the next level, regardless of how talented you are, if the coaches can’t trust you in pass pro you’re ass is gonna be spending a lot of time riding the pine.
@Nunya_Argo79 Жыл бұрын
Glad you picked that up, Brooks was supposed to get him as Connor can't get there in time. Was horrible pass protection by him and he needs to be better at chipping guys. Whittington who's a plus blocker, screwed up on that 4th and short, if he blocked it better, Sanders is in for a TD.

Exactly I tried to tell people that fumble wasn’t really Malik’s fault. Even on the interception he should’ve just took the sack but it was a screwed play from the beginning and no receiver really ran a route

I was encouraged by Murphy’s play. Quinn is fragile and could easily get hurt this season. It’s good to know that we have a capable back up (unlike 2009 when Colt went down).

Yeah, Quinn is fragile. That’s why I hate he stopped sliding when he scrambles.

It was 24-21 with 3 minutes left in the 4Q when Colt went down and Garrett Gilbert came in as a true freshman. What are you talking about lol??

@@bsiffywhat tf ? No he didn’t he left on the very first offensive drive against Alabama in the National Championship game. Idk what game you’re talking about
@bsiffy Жыл бұрын
@@MalcolmTEXit’s the way I worded it. Meant to say it was 24-21 in 4Q in that NC game with 3m left with Gilbert at QB…after Colt had went out in their first drive of the game. This guy makes it sound like Texas got blown out after Colt went out. The final score doesn’t indicate how close the game was.
