Southern Texas and the Hill Country could definitely use this rain. After looking at the drought map recently, that blob of extreme drought near San Antonio still hasn't disappeared yet, despite having shrunk some by May's rain spells.

It puts a huge smile on my face to see rain in my backyard. Lake Corpus Christi, is low right now….. hopefully that will turn things around on the flip side of this rainy event.” I need the rain the lakes down here in Live Oak County, needs rain Corpus Christi is in stage 2 water restoration. Let me help you with Pecos. You have gotten that the O is not a long O. It sounds like a short U. But you’re putting equal emphasis on both syllables. Texans put 80% of the emphasis on the 1st syllable. Rather than pey-cus, it’s PEY-cus. Say it faster and hit the 1st syllable. 👍

Thank goodness, someone is teaching David, because I gave up… For someone who reports on Texas weather you would think there would be a little bit more of pre-show research on how to pronounce. It’s as simple as just asking Google to help you… As in - going to Google search bar and typing/saying “pronounce PECOS”. God help them with Gruene or Boerne 🫣

Channel 25 out of Waco USE to run a 24/7 radar like this (with local temps.) + they'd flash a future radar every so often. I constantly would leave the TV tuned to their weather channel... Drove the family crazy IF...TWC would do the future radar thing, I'd be back in my familiar comfort zone👍 ✌😎 *edit...P.S. -Y'all play better tunes than they did !
