Nice job! This Woodstock is pure genius. Hendrix, when focused, was incomparable. His combination of skill and musical vision is like nothing seen since his sad passing. This instrumental puts his genius on full display.

I actually looked this song up a few days ago a woodstock improvisation. Thats that album I listen to when I was about 17 the guitar playing blew my mind. It was one of the reasons I started playing...

Greg Vinson I think that another tune is it not. Maybe it is Jimi said "here's something we been working on back @ the house." At one point.

Anthony, that was just awesome. IMO, no one's done more to de-mystify Hendrix' playing than you have. Thanks.

That box with the 12 bars and the colors is genious, makes every aspect of your play more transparent to an almost intermediate player like myself. I considered subscribing to the locals in the past but im a poor student, having seen this. Im in, sign me up! (i joke, ill do so myself in 3 days :) exams first :))

Anthony...you could make a killing on developing an entire course that teaches everything on the Hendrix Blues album...just some soul food for thought. ;)

I have never heard a better example of Hendrix's EXPLOSIVE sound coupled with adjustments to the guitar's volume and tone controls. Watch Anthony's right hand in the upper right corner of this video boys and girls !!!
@Texasbluesalley9 жыл бұрын
Glad you picked up on that because it was tricky as heck to get the right amount of gain. At full guitar volume it was way too thick but if I rolled it back even an 8th of a turn it was almost clean. There was very little space to work with, which is why you sometimes see me roll it up then dial it back right away.

I will be outraged if I find out that Antony did not use a Mojo Hand Villanova Vibe pedal on this solo!

Actually it's a Earthquaker Depths, but I'm sure they share some common heritage :-)
@waelkarram9 жыл бұрын
+Texas Blues Alley what are your thoughts on the depths? like when it comes to more "traditional" Uni-Vibe sounds, such as in the video? because most demos online go on it's Wilder aspects…
@gdawgs1019 жыл бұрын
+Wael Karram I just got the same one. Amazing vibe (it's an authentic vibe circuit as well, not one of those emulation circuits). Lots of useable knobs to adjust the vibe to your liking and it sounds AMAZING. It's my favorite pedal on my board. I did a lot of research on different univibes and the Earthquaker Depths is the one I settled on. I would highly recommend to any Hendrix enthusiast
