We have a Q50 but with the 3.7 liter. The Infiniti does seem old now. You're right, it's a good option but maybe not the first pick for me. I would get the Red Sport over the European trio

Yeah I’d take a Red Sport 400 all day long lol

The 3.7 with an exhaust system spunds phenomenal.

I looked at a lot of cars that start around 43k and the q50 looks the best, has the most powerful engine, and drives really nice for this particular price range.

Good looking ride, that’s for sure ❤️

Its a great looking car, but the look is a bit dated now. The newer ones only change is different (hardly) tail lights than the original Q50. Perhaps slam the Q60 lights on the Q50 to make it more modern looking. 2015 q50 3.7 owner. I love my Q.

Yup, that’s my biggest criticism

Gonna need more than the lights. Since Nissan's discontinuing the Maxima I wish they'd make it look more like that. The Maxima looks super sleek and sexy.

I've got a 2008 G35 with 77K miles. I look at the Q5os-60s and I wonder "Why do I want to trade up"? Twin turbos- maybe not problems now but soon, particularly with the 400 hp engines. Infotainment system, I haven't got the G35 figured out yet. Quality? Consumer's Report has been trashing the Q50 for years. They've only recently upgraded it. When the G35s-37s were being tested. they were consistent winners in the medium priced sport sedan category. I'd like an upgrade but I don't think it's going to be an Infinity.

Trashing Q50 for what? Only complaint ive seen is the cars "identity" is questionable. Is it a sport car or a luxury. Reality is, its an entry level sporty luxury car. Also heard of the" laggy/unresponsive" infotainment system. Which ive yet to experience on my 2015 Q.

I had a 2013 G37 that I sold last year with 42k miles. I upgraded to a 2022 sensory. The difference is night and day. Sure the g felt a bit more raw but the q is a major upgrade.

I upgraded from my 2012 g37. Huge difference. Definitely day and night difference if you come from a 2008

You would think you’re happy with what you have because why fix what’s not broke. Just test drive a new one. 22 and up. Then say you don’t want to upgrade. A 400hp twin turbo is going to last if you take care of it. Maybe 6k in turbo repair down the line but the fuel savings and aesthetics make up for it. Don’t drive it like you stole it and it won’t steal your money.

stupid question but is this quicker/faster than a stock Type R?
@txGarage2 жыл бұрын
I would assume yes but not 100% on that one without looking it up.
@vidautomotive55732 жыл бұрын
The Red Sport 400 is for sure faster than the Type R. if you're talking 0-60 times even this is a bit quicker... around a track, that would be a decent competition.
@m.m144332 жыл бұрын
@@vidautomotive5573 yea type R is light and can be thrown around in corners. The Q is a fancy powerful cruising car.

Too expensive for what you get. Buy a Camry. Put the 400hp in the base model, call it a sleeper and sell it for $35k. You have the new G35
