Exactly! The more of these videos I watch, the more I think that there is nothing you can do to prevent this. Especially with laced pills, a tragedy like this is just one stupid teenage decision away. If they don't die immediately, the suffering is prolonged for the entire family until the person dies anyway. The percentage of people escaping drug addiction is just heartbreakingly low.

Mr. and Mrs. Mundaca, I am very, very sorry for your loss! I am a high school teacher and I believe that your story needs to be shared in the classroom. I work and teach at a high school in Los Angeles. Our student population is predominantly Hispanic. Last year our school staff was offered training in the use of NARCAN. I couldn't believe itI I was shocked by it. I first heard of fentanyl in 2019 when it took the life of professional baseball player Tyler Skaggs. But prior to that, it was a foreign word to me. However, now more than ever, this poison is killing so many of our teens and young adults. It's truly frightening! I am not a mother but as a high school teacher I am very concerned about this widespread endemic crushing our country. I am respectfully requesting your permission to share your story in the classroom. I am also interested in any online educational resources you may have knowledge. He is in rehab now but they said he doesn't seem very interested. I have been praying non stop. He might need medication for a LONG time. methadone or suboxone his brain is changed - do not shame him or look at this as an addiction. It works!! I have 15 years of recovery. I couldn’t have done it without medical assistance. It was a long, expensive hard journey. Worth it

My question is: Nobody used Narcan just in the case that it was Fentanyl as it is so prevalent now? These days are not like experimenting with drugs back in the day. @MsAdventure531 Great slogan ! However, it takes a whole lot less than one pill bearing in mind that Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than morphine. Take a HB 10 pencil ( used by school pupils, artists & most every one else) sharpen said pencil, moisten, then gently dip into the illicit Fentanyl. The amount of Fentanyl on the pencil can & will kill a person. Then imagine how much a tablet might contain when a unadulterated amount is added to the preparation. It is worth noting that some are pure Fentanyl. Medical grade Fentanyl, used appropriately has proven invaluable beyon expectation. As a clinician I see the head count rising it's frightening.

I’m sorry for your loss. So many loved ones have died with this horrible drug. My mom’s youngest brother passed away in April, 2021 from fentanyl. We were the same age and actually grew up like brother and sister. It was a shock and just caused an overwhelming sense of sadness, guilt, anger and shock through out the family. We were struggling, all in our own ways, with his passing, but watching my grandma go through this was painful. He was her baby and till this day, she struggles. Our family definitely changed. He was such an amazing, loving human being. Had 3 small kids at the time. His life seemed to gave spiraled down very quickly about the last 3 years before he died. He seemed to be improving, even going on a camping trip 3 weeks before with the whole family where we got to be with him, since it was rare to see him at family events. I don’t just say this to say this, he truly was a great soul and so special and amazing and there will always be a missing piece to our family t without him here.

Another really sad and tragic story of a loved person who was literally poisoned! 🥺 I‘m really sorry for their loss, Jacob seemed to be a great person and he instantly was extremely sympathetic to me because he was a drummer like myself. The picture of him sitting behind the Gretsch Dum set -> 😍🙏 From all the things Jacob‘s parents said about him, he must have been a very talented and gifted person and that he was greatly loved by everyone. Fentnyl is used in the United Kingdom as treatment for pain relief A lot of women who are undergoing a cesarean section have an epidural with Fentnyl, but it's a tiny dose because it's an anathetic it's also used as a general anathetic combined with inhalation anathetics
