For anyone who was creeped out by the moving jug at 4:10, your reason is because if the water is cold, the outside has droplets of water on the outside, so it makes it possible for the cup of water to slide across the surface. (Brought to my attention By AshleySingsBroadway !)

+Abdul Rehman the water was cold and the condensation caused the outside of the cup to be very wet and move a bit. We'll never really know but if you have a better explanation I am all ears.

There is liquid visible under the cup. Enough liquid was present for the cup to lose friction with the counter. The same principal can be applied to a car on a wet road. It only takes 1/10 of an inch to lift a car off the road imagine how little is needed to move a small measuring cup. She should have deGrasse Tyson back on the next episode to explain it.
