Good video. I have only used reduced indigo once but this would be great for a class. Nice deep color. New subscriber.

BLUE !! Curious, it's cold here in Oregon, but I want to get going and give this a try. Do I need to be concerned about the heat of the indigo dye bath? Thanks
@TextileIndie7 ай бұрын
Yes, the temperature of the dye bath matters a lot in indigo. It needs to stay at a consistent temperature. I get it, I live in Washington and just wait to do my dyeing in the spring and summer.

Good to know and spring and summer works for me too! Thanks!! @@TextileIndie

I would like to know why my indigo on my wool is coming out when I knit with it…my hands gets blue.
@TextileIndie10 ай бұрын
It’s a process called crocking. It happens when there are still particles of indigo pigment “loose” on the surface of the yarn. A really good wash with soap and warm water would help get rid of some of this. But proceed with caution as you probably don’t want to felt what you’re making.

Thank you. Is there something I could change in the process too ?@@TextileIndie
