I have thick hair with a similar hairstyle to you. Love the wave layers underneath, it has helped me alot with avoiding the uniform look that can happen when I style it. It also helps mine being too poofy. I only need a bit of lift at the top. I appreciate your great video !

Very cute. My hair is so thick that #1 it doesn't hold curl in that same front section. #2 the more products I use, the heavier it gets and goes flat. I have a few products that work though, and I can apply this method of the waiver and curling iron to make the look more textured yet "smooth". Also, I love your nails in this video. If I wanted something similar, what would I ask for when I go to get them done? I only do my nails about once a year so I don't know the verbage etc.

Funny, I do exactly the same thing (even the „extra“ texture at the end), but with a straightener 😀 works for me.

I just came upon this video. Recently, a hair stylist used some product that fried my hair. I have naturally curly hair but now half is straight. A new stylist cut a ton of hair off that was fried. I have been trying to curl the part that is straight but it doesn't always turn out and is a pain. This video is my answer. I just purchased the 3 barrel curling iron and it worked perfectly. I have the 1 1/4 curling iron but my hair won't take the curl the way yours does but hey, baby steps. I thought I was curling iron queen till your video...thank you so so much for sharing❤

@jenniferroth313Ай бұрын
I recently cut my hair to her length and it doesn't look good unless styled. I regret it. I miss being able to clip it up or put in a bun when pressed for time. Ive been on the KZbin hunt to find simple styles and they are nowhere to be found. The only pro to short styles is they look nice and clean when styled.

Is it the heat protectant you're spraying on your hair before you curl it?
@birdwatcher28468 ай бұрын
Another suggestion, instead of going in at the end and re-curling those extra pieces for extra texture, just grab those pieces, spray it at the root, then hit the root quickly with a blow dryer which really makes those pieces noticeable. 👍🏻👍🏻Been doing it like that for years so as not to apply extra heat to the strands..
@AlexisThereseCastillo7 ай бұрын
I gotta try that!! Thank you!

What size of barrels do you have on your waiver?
@cc_snipergirl11 ай бұрын
If I kind of already have this texture naturally (wavy/curly), is there any product I can use to define it more? I've cut it shoulder length like yours for the first time ever and really don't know what to do with it. I'd also like to avoid heat if possible
@AlexisThereseCastillo11 ай бұрын
I would try a salt spray! That will add texture and definition 🥰 but if that’s too drying for your hair, I also really like Curlsmith’s effortless waves - just dampen your hair, spray and scrunch! Such great definition: rstyle.me/+ZPgl4F_jVePJ3zdsItCxKg

I would repeat the twist/wrap process 3-4 times for longer hair! 🥰 or if you want the curls looser, just curl midway to the ends!

I get it - it’s so hard to get the hang of it! Practice with your curling iron off a few times until you get the hang of the rhythm and then try it with the heat really low once you think you’re ready just in case you leave it on too long!

@AlexisThereseCastillo7 ай бұрын
Silk pillowcase is everything 🙌 and I like my hair on top of my pillow so the bottom layer is the only hair that touches my pillow. The waves created using the 3 barrel waver hold so much better than the curling iron so it works out that the bottom layer is only 3 barrel waves!

Why does my hair go flat in less than an hour? I only use sea salt spray and a heat protectant. I’ve even tried hair spray after, and standing under my fan to make sure it is cool cool 😢
@RedSkyDayz5 ай бұрын
So ive noticed with my fine hair using too much of anything actually kills my style. People usually go the opposite way any use high hold products and that doesnt work for me. I use a very small amount of lightweight heat protectant. I also use a light hold texturizing hairspray after. There’s so many dofferent hair types with different porosity. Try starting with clean hair (100% dry,) no sea salt spray and a heat protectant thats not high hold. Make sure the heat protectant is dry. Also make sure your tool is hot enough. If you’re doing curls, try pinning them up with bobby pins while they cool.
