@@ginodominic I just wanna see your channel grow and know that I was here from the beginning. It I will say this. I’m having a hard time finding the right combs for different technics. I wanna know what the pros prefer! I’ve spent $50 on clipper and shear combs. And I still don’t know what I like or should use. . Lol

Dudes literally got the same head and hit as me. This is on point. People need to learn these kinda things rather then blindly cutting like any other client
@ginodominic3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate that comment a lot! It's easy to appreciate a haircut after its complete but there's so much work that needs to go into a CUSTOMIZED haircut/hairstyle. We all have different hair types and head shape combinations, cookie cutting isn't enough!

His hair is softer that most asian hair and doesnt stick out as much.
@ginodominic4 жыл бұрын
That's a great point, keep in mind hair texture and growth pattern can change dramatically from client to client. I do my best to explain this in my videos so everyone can have a better success rate of attacking these hairstyles. There are many types of straight Asian hair as you pointed out, see what works and what doesn't and keep a journal so you can come up with your own custom recipe

Gino Dominic is there a way to make hair softer? I have hair that’s a bit stiff and sticks out. I have somewhat of the same cut but the front hair sticks out a bit and doesn’t lay on the forehead. Any way to fix this?

So if his hair on the side grew diagonally back you would take diagonally back sections from the front?
@ginodominic3 жыл бұрын
Great question! Diagonal back will promote backwords flow and the opposite for forward. So ask the client how they prefer to style their hair and you can choose which technique is best suited!

the cut is clean ! what inch are those scissors ?
@ginodominic3 жыл бұрын
5.5" which is for me very comfortable, I am 6 foot and I'd say depending on your hand size, and comfortability should determine which scissors/shear to purchase!

Is there a way you can make it not look so straight maybe add some texture if you don’t know would you know what it’s called?
@ginodominic3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can definitely achieve this, instead of using a blunt tool like a liner(as I used) try point cutting or using a razor to soften the front. Try and be creative with how to achieve this, sometimes it's best not to overthink, and just be okay learning from experience

That's a fair comment, if you're a barber you know everyone has preferences and styles of doing things. At the end of the day we give the client the desired length of their choice, thanks for watching
@josephdizon91364 жыл бұрын
can my asian texture have a crop top❓🤔 problem is, it doesn't naturally stick down unlike the guy in the video
@ginodominic3 жыл бұрын
Simple answer is yes! It depends on the hair growth infront. If you notice my client here needs to have a longer hairline in order for it to stay down. Sometimes it's not about the choice of technique but in the choice of LENGTH. Try cutting little by little and combing the hair down dry. The water makes it heavy and will act different once it dries. Hope that helps, let me know what content you want to see, I'm in the lab!

Can u cut this on a white person
@ginodominic3 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely, the hair type (curly/straight) will affect the final look. The goal isnt to make requested hairstyles exact, the goal is to have it customized to best suit the person asking for it. We all have different hair growth patterns and hair types, try exploring variations on all types to have a better chance of hitting a home run from client to client!
