I don't know if it's a suggestion, but I would appreciate more variety with the brackgound music. Great tutorial though, very helpful.

A loooong time, deep in my mind I knew this could be possible. But as a Max user I never found the way. So easy in Blender. Born in Max but raised in Blender LOL. Thank you so much! I will tweak my UV's for the diffuse, and forget about normals and displacement thanks to this :)

I recently learned about using multiple UV maps. Much better than using a mapping node

I definitely prefer it as well!

Oh, man. I feel like I'm honing in on how to structure my goofy personal project. Now I just need to see multiple UV maps with at least one video as a UV map layer, and I think I'm done conceptualizing. This was incredibly helpful.

This is exactly what I was looking for, explained very clearly. No wasted time but still fun to watch, you're honestly great at this.

Sincerely, thank you so much for this tutorial. There are a bunch of others like it for combining different maps, but for some reason, their explanations seemed far less straightforward than yours. This is an incredibly concise breakdown and I'm going to put it to excellent use. Again, thank you so much.

@ 1:30, you mentioned for this example, you want a solid color Background. What if you wanted to use the color from your Principled BSDF (aka, have the alpha texture appear over your BSDF's chosen color) is this possible? Bit of a noob to blender, but just wondering if that's a thing that can be done.

What if you join a given uv map body with a custom made mesh then two uv maps can't go on top of each other

I have this model that has multiple UVs. I am trying to export the model as a FBX file. But learning from other creators, it is not possible to export the texture and mesh as one if the image textures in shader are not going directly into the principled BSDF. How do i export the mesh and texture into one single fbx file?

Awesome tutorial, very informative. Any chance you can shared that BotW shader you used for the Master Sword?
@RaulLopez-rq6wh7 ай бұрын
can you do this for normal maps?
@RaulLopez-rq6wh7 ай бұрын
It does work, had some trouble cus I forgot to remove the the rest of the uv faces from the detail uv map where they werent needed. Also had to make sure the background normal was the one that had blank space to accomodate the detail uv. Edit, I feel like this was way easier to pull off in blender 2.

Do you know if the model keeps this UV data on FBX export? If I were to load it in another programme like Unity, will it will show this overlapping UV?
@TheObservatoryShow2 жыл бұрын
I think so! I don't have much experience outside of Blender, but I'm inclined to assume yes! Thank you for watching 😁

It should! In Unreal it does at least
@MarcV_IndieGameDev2 жыл бұрын
I just went for a lazy plane infront instead of overlapping UVs xD

Why is this workflow in Blender not more intuitive? even if you know how to do this you are probably going to forget if you haven't done it for a while. Shit is all over the place in the UI.
