@@samthestupidoexactly, in those 13 minutes there probably will be a sponsor, a 3 minute long intro, some backstory of the plugin (by who, how when, and why it was created) and its all inbetween the actual explanation of the plugin just to make sure u cant focus on actually learning it

incorrect it lowers loud sounds so it gives the illusion that low sounds are boosted
@HimynameisjacobNGКүн бұрын
@TakenUsernameAuradium That's downward compression. The upward compression handles quiet signals instead, pushing them "upward." The combo squashes everything toward a flat middleground.

Pro tip: cmd + click a band to disable upwards/downwards compression selectively. Nice and subtle multiband sauce.

Thank you! I was already using OTT but I was just adjusting the bottom 2 dials and the eq dials bc I wasn't sure what the rest was doing. I didn't even know you could move those lines to adjust the upwards and downwards for the specific frequencies. That is really cool!

upwards compression in general has such a nice sound. try khs dynamics if you wanna hear it single band (and optionally without the downwards compression)

For electronic music production, it's kinda a standard at this point. But it can very quickly ruin mixes too, if you're not careful. Pre-processed vocals or other high end stuff can get too much simbilance, or mid-range sounds can quickly get too boxy/nasally. Any processing you do can also go haywire, especially if you OTT delays or reverbs. It really boosts tails, because that's what it's designed to do, if you tune it that way. So be mindful with how you process sounds with it; sometimes extremes and 100% wet can be great for sound design. Other times, 30% dry/wet is almost too much. But I don't know a dance-focused electronic music producer who doesn't use it. If you use FL for folk or orchestral music, OTT may not be the go-to choice, lol

When you search for a short tutorial on a plugin and you get this instead of a 20 minutes long video that dosnt even explain what you wanted in the end.

What is the difference between OTT and Stock Multiband Compressors?
@ADHDPlugins19 сағат бұрын
OTT is based on a preset with high ratios and extreme squeezing. You can achieve similar results but OTT is straight to the point
