Okay, so I have one thing that I would change already - • The Hammered Head No way you could ever reason blocking shield use entirely is balanced at all. That’d make the weapon almost entirely counterintuitive, since it only receives buffs in combat, but entirely blocks the use of its most obvious companion. My solution? Just remove that - Shields can be equipped. However, my replacement isn’t too far off • No Shield Charge Yeah, okay, I lied. It is pretty much the same. But there is one big difference here - you still receive resistances. This way, it isn’t completely removing weapon options - because, come on, TF2 is all about wonky and ridiculous combos. Removing an entire family of weapons would be a sin.

How about instead of no charge, you take more damage from melees, making other demoknights, boxer heavies and trollders the only thing that can really put you down. Like trying to stop a demoman who has 6+ heads with the eyelander. You need to focus him down to stuff the rampage, I only say this as a demoknight that uses the Zato with Tide so rushing people down and getting my health back to chain kills can be very annoying to fight against. Especially if the demoman can trimp away or to you.

The boot idea is fine, and I like the trade-ins, but I think it should instead be a tool to assist with trimping. Currently trimping is just a bug, but with this weapon it will make trimping a mechanic more like rocket jumping. I'm thinking maybe it could prevent fall damage while trimping, increase charge duration and turn control while trimping, and maybe even dealing crits with melee and/or sheild bashing weapons while in the air like a demoknight market garden.

Caber is a fun meme but then it come to demoknighting it's really underwhelming. It was fun for harassing snipers but after the nerf it just kinda works as a catch someone running to a health pack kinda thing. But if they gave demoman more knight weapons that would shake up what will be used and who or what can counter him. Like imagine a shield that stops all knock back (pyros, soldiers, FON scouts other demos) but you get little resistance from it so you can guarantee that you get in and start smacking the target but you need to be more careful with getting shot.

I think the hammered head could have a different set of stats. Keep the old set, with the no shield equipped replaced by 'If you have a sheild equipped, reduced charge duration, reduced charge damage, and 10-20% lower resistances, while the hammered head now deals 10% less damage than the hammered head without a shield'. In real life, you can use a shield with a two handed weapin, but you'll trade off some power/defense in exchange for some versatility. And yes, two handed weapons and shields are depicted in artistic work (mainly with spears and full-body shields), which is why propose this change.

I find it a little weird that you can't use a shield with The Hammered Head. Okay, logically, it makes sense, but then it's not a Demoknight melee anymore, so I think it may have worked better in a weapon concepts for Demoman. But I *love* the boots concept. My only gripe with it is that it should probably be activated like a scout double jump instead of hitting the ground. I think it would be cool if it passively recharged, but you needed an ammo pack if you wanted to prevent about 100 self damage. When it comes to the Dutch Courage, I think it would be even cooler if it were a secondary, making a new subclass similar to Hybrid Knight. Here's how I would handle that. Dutch Courge: Demoman Secondary +Dealing damage to enemies (550 required) will charge up your ALE meter. You can drink your ALE when your meter is full, making you DRUNK for 12 seconds. +While DRUNK, your melee weapons gain mini crits +While DRUNK, you gain 25% movement speed +While DRUNK, you gain 50% Fire resistance +While DRUNK, you gain 30% Blast resistance +While DRUNK, you gain 75% knockback resistance from both airblasts and enemy damage. -While DRUNK, you are forced to hold out your melee.

Here's an idea for a medieval medic crossbow + Shots can ubercharge team mates with a short burst of energy for 3-5ish seconds (time debatable) + To make it viable in non degroot games it could also grant critical hits at the same time as the Uber? -Missed shots that hit enemies can give them an Uber as well, but at a fraction of the charge you'd get hitting a team mate - Uses a quarter of the ubercharge meter per shot

Boots could work like this: Activate when you land on ground from jump or drop from certain high. Small explosion that does gunboats levels of damage to demo and Liberty Launcher damage to opponents. If you land on enemy it mini-crits. Has set amount of charges that can be replaced by ammo packs (ammo packs from players refill one charge) Downsides are that you can't do normal jumps or drop from high when you have charges and small amount of self damage.

I had an idea for a shield which had immense charge damage and a minicrit with charge But the really fun part of the weapon was that you charge in the direction you’re looking rather than just forward, allowing you to get a small charge mobility boost looking upward...or, if you’re up in the air, you could charge down and air strike someone for an up high slam down on someone The only bad part was that there weren’t many ways to help you get up to that height without using your charge or making your weapon weaker (caber) but the flying Scotsman idea would work really well with this, you could even add self damage to the boots and make a shield charge, minicrit sword and boot explosion damage combo strong enough to kill a full health heavy

Another weapon idea : Fathertime's Scythe Collect hearts upon walking on a corpse and store up to 9 hearts at time. Consume 3 collected hearts to activate critical hits for 3 seconds. I've had an idea for a pike melee for demoknight (well, not really demoknight, more of a demoman-at-arms) once. Basically, you get more range and attack speed, but at the same time your attack is a stab instead of a swing, so you can only hit targets that are in a straight line infront of you. Also, you move a lot slower with it. You get additional benefits if you are using the weapon when standing still. Whilst you are standing still you get damage and knockback resistance and, more importantly, you get +20% extra damage against any moving enemy and you get guaranteed crits against airborne targets and charging demoknights. The weapon also has a slow weapon swap speed (so you can't just knock a player into the air with your explosives and then impale them on the pike) and shields don't recharge whilst it is deployed. This is a weapon meant to let you hold the line but it won't let you run around like a maniac.

So I had an idea for soldier, the commander's cannon: It'd be a primary that functions very differently from the other rocket launchers. Instead of shooting rockets it shoots cannon balls that instead of exploding they plow through the enemies, being a projectile that can hit multiple players it'd have slight damage drop-off between targets and (like the huntsman's bow & arrows and ordinary rocket launchers) would use bounding boxes as the source of hit detection. The downsides? It being a cannon would have a slow firing speed and as stated earlier wouldn't explode, as well as potentially slowing the soldier down in exchange for a bit of extra health maybe.

6:50 alternate idea: upon activation demo automatically strafes left & right on a timer, as if drunkenly swaying. This swaying (strafing) will be faster than the default walking speed and if used right can act as a hard to use speed boost The boots (it sounds like this is a primary replacement) give a constant speed boost and health buff, so this should have a higher potential speed and maybe keep the resistances part Simple speed would be more like a simulant, but if the demo has to sway his aim it will feel and look drunken

First one I feel like still needs some damage resistance since even the tide turner has some damage resistance and your giving up the sticky bomb launcher for it. Second one remove the can’t wear shield thing and give either a increase recharge time, reduce charge duration, or make it mini crit when it crits. Third one change the blast jump conditions to be hitting your reload key while holding your melee weapon so the blast jump doesn’t get messed up while holding a caber.

Had an idea for a demoknight “sword”, lmk what you think: Name: The Shakes Spear Description: A long spear with a pointy end. Stats: +20 HP on wearer (Bringing demos max hp to 220 with the booties) On Kill: Grants 3 seconds of team buff (Crit resistance, 50% sentry resistance and 30% from all other sources) Idea behind this: Encourage demos to work with the teams a bit more with a reward for getting a kill in a team populated area.

I would change the 3 seconds to something like 5 and it resets on kill. Just a small change to counter kritz meds, and random crits in general. I only say this because a kritzed up heavy, soldier or demo can honestly wipe a team if no one is pyro or more likely a pyro that can air blast correctly.

@@ananmaysahu4563 I disagree as when you look at weapons like the eye lander, that give you bonus hp AND movement speed and the Half Zatoichi that literally gives you 100 hp back after every kill, I'd say this is a good trade off much like the battalions backup is to the soldier. With a downside of perhaps no random crits and 10% less damage, this would be more of a team orientated weapon used for tactical pushes.

For the battering ram, it'd be cool if you only got resistances while charging. For the Boots, I think it'd be cool if they were procced via fall damage. So if you jumped from high and landed, you'd get a one type launch from the Boots that you could restore at supply, and you'd get launched proportional to the fall damage you took.

Just imagine a Demoman with Hammered Head and Flying Scotsman, rocketing into the frontline at ludicrous speeds, taking out everyone who attempted to push the cart in 2 fatal swings.

I feel like for the Hammered Head, itd be better to take out the damage bonus and slower attack speed and change it to lowered movement speed, I feel like with the way it is it's too much of a straight upgrade over stock, but the hitting multiple targets sounds so nice if anyone has had their teammates absorb their melee attacks

I loved all the ideas in this video, I feel like playing with these weapons would definitely be a blast. I especially like the idea of 2 handed melee weapons, more damage but having to sacrifice you being able to use a shield.

I love the European war hammer as an idea for a double purpose weapon, left click is blunt force trauma, right click does less damage but causes bleed damage

I've always liked the idea of a spear that can be throwable, and then either recharged or picked up again. I'm not sure what any other stats would be, but it would be an interesting range option for demoknight. I also like the idea of a shield that takes away health for some crazy advantage. A shield that gives you a lower health pool just feels so at home in tf2 imo

You couldn't use the Dutch courage because the 2nd slot (shields 'n stickies) already use the right click, but you could make the 3rd mouse button (special attack/action) the activator

My issue with the Hammered Head is that it really should just be what the Caber does, one single large swing that can basically murder any poor sap that stands in it's way. Edit: Also the reason that caber was nerfed into the ground in the first place was because of the fact that Competitive players could combine it with sticky jumping to get a free medic pick at the start of the round, and the hammered head basically does the same time.

An issue i forsed with the battered ram is that sometimes enemies are hit out of your sword range after a charge already. Adding more could result in you just never hitting your swing after a charge.

I have an idea for the demoknight, or well, half demoknight in my idea WInged Sword (Imagen orstein's spear from DS1 but with more blade and less handle) +50% more range that the stuck melee weapon +Makes critics when you fall from a medium distance (like market gardener) -You CANT use the charge of the shield (if you have one) -you have to charge the attack to throw it instead of dealing it like normal -Deploy this weapon 75% slower

as a demoknight main, this sounds interesting to me: new shield: Negatives: only grants minicrits shorter charge duration no slam damage Positives: higher base movement speed can hold 2 charges instead of only 1.

As a Demo knight main I find the ideas to be. Well, more or less underpowered 1 - the shield sounds fun but a melee based class needs some sort of resistance and mobility. So taking that away for basically a discount demo train would be a bit useless. Like it sounds fun and it would work well with the katana since it heals you but at the same time. Going through players also means you might not be able to end a charge when you exactly want to. I think a better change would be to add a resistance and deal increased knock back but with additional damage dealt to the target shall they hit a wall. That way you can close the distance with some resistance and also one shot light classes without the melee for more reliability. No need for penetratiny players as you won't need it much 2 - okay. This is basically the Scott's man skullcutter like you said. But actually worse. Not having a shield is an awful idea for a demo knight. And having the downsides of swords and the downsides you suggested for a normal stock demo is even worse. Unless it one shots light classes this is basically the skullcutter just to thr extreme in a negative way. And will be frustrating to use 3 - this one imo is the only one I liked. Having added mobility in exchange for tankiness sounds amazing honestly. Would pair well with the tide turner and claidamor too Thanks for reading my review. Models were amazing tho

I have an idea for spy you could have a Sapper which doesn't alert the engineer but all it does is deactivated temporarily for five seconds but whatever he put it on can take more damage so it's not too overpowered

I've always liked using base jumper with the claidheamh mor and tide turner for mid-air charges, so I was thinking maybe more speed or maybe longer charge while mid-air charging for the flying scotsman?

i think a cool sword idea would be to have the sword be held sideways when charging (1 click: right)(double click: left) upon charge, charge regen would be 50% and you could only kill when charging being able to cut through multiple people in one charge you can not do damage if they are on the wrong side in front of you or your not charging
