TF2 but if you're found, you die

Hide and seek in TF2... can such a thing be done? Yes. And it's incredibly fun. The rules are simple: hiders have to survive for as long as possible and seekers have to kill the hiders as fast as they can. Everyone plays as Scout and while you can use whatever you want for mobility, you're only allowed to kill people with your bat. Hiders can technically fight back if they want, but seekers have 5000 HP and crits, so... good luck with that. Hiders each have a clock that ticks up as long as they're alive; whenever a hider dies, he stops his clock and joins the seekers to do seeker things. At the end of the game, all of the times are totaled up and whoever has the highest time on their clock wins. There's 1 round per player so everyone has to start as a seeker exactly once to keep things fair. As for the maps, these aren't just ordinary TF2 maps. These maps have been stripped of their doors, windows, and invisible walls so any hiding spots the hiders can discover are fair game. (Also thanks to LED for helping with some of these, they were a pain to make.) This is my first time trying something like this, so if you have any feedback let me know!

This could be a really good community gamemode with maps made to be better suited for it (no collisionless props, custom maps designed around it, etc), and an automated hint system that tells the seeker what point (or other major landmark) each hider is nearest.

I gotta say, this game mode is fun and the shenanigans of outrunning the seekers looks super fun to do But man it’s just kinda infuriating and not really fun to just be chasing the hider you found 20 minutes ago because they just have free range to outrun you. The seekers need more running speed or allowed an amount of bullets to catch ranged hiders because watching a hider outmaneuver the seekers the whole time is satisfying for little while Until it’s just basically “we’re gonna be here for a while because that hider literally isn’t a hider anymore. You should be able to shoot the hiders the bat only rule is dumb. These rounds so should not last 20+ minutes. The chases are fun to an extent but there should probably be weapons free at 20+ minutes.
