Yeah you can, if you're using Chris' config then there's already a line near the top for that command but it's set to 0 by default. If you're not using that config then just put that command in there on a separate line

@MegaVinylshaker: Unable to reply directly for some reason, but I hope you see this anyway. Basically, no, to your first question (even though it would make sense). You are correct with your second question. You want to jump right as you let go of crouch. You'll also find that the timing is _very_ tight, which is the true difficulty in ctapping consistently. (I like to picture a quicktime event, where the timing window is really small.) It's important to remember that when you ctap, there are gradients of distances you can get. The Granary jump is when you get a nearly-perfect one. If you fall just short, you may still have done a _good_ ctap. Also keep in mind that with these small time windows, it matters the time it takes for your rocket to be fired and to reach the ground behind you. It's super minuscule, but it matters. This is also why you'll find that the ctap timing is very slightly different for Direct Hit. G'luck. It's definitely worth it. You get a tiny bit more height, but for lateral jumps, you get quite a bit more speed on take-off.

MR SLIN what are you doing at 8:42 where you are hopping on the ground? Is that a normal rocket jump? Also is that what you are doing at 5:28 to get such a high jump after you hit the ground?

"Hold on a minute team, let me just try a few times to get this ctap right so I can jump the enemy" :D I think it is not a good idea to try to do ctaps manually, unless you are really good at them, like failing at most 1 in 10. I wrote a little ctap macro to my keyboard I like to use. Sure, it is not the perfect ctap with max distance, but it is still better than the normal rocket jump.

Once I c-tap by accident. I failed a speedshot at a jump map so I decided to try and do the rocket jump to try and make it through the stage because I know I was going to fail anyways then I passed the stage. I was like wtf?

Slin what do you think of crouch jump scripts, so simply jumping is a crouch jump

Ctaps are impossible with those scripts. Don't use them.

You'd have to use a wait command, which is only possible with cheats on (sv_cheats 1), or you'd have to use an external program, which may be illegal depending on which league you play in.

I'm not a sollie main, but C-tapping sometimes isn't worth the inconsistency, sometimes you just don't need it

I can ctap consistently, but sometimes it's odd to use them, because they always get full 'price', i mean if you're playing with shotgun ctap is like always takes 50 hp, but with no ctap u can make it with like 35-40hp. Same with gunboats it's always 20 hp. Because your body closer to the ground and then you get more damage

Buddha isn’t good for rocket jumping alone because when you reach the lowest health possible, you stop taking knock back but combined with impulse 101 it’s much better than using hurtme
