If you've played TF2 for a long time as a veteran or you are new to the mercs and badlands, you may or may not know TF2's LORE. I mostly just liked playing the game and didnt have much interest, but upon reading all of the team fortress comics recently out of curiosity, i compiled a condensed, digestable version of valve's official tf2 lore for you to either recap on or experience for the first time that is only 15 minutes long! the other tf2 lore videos i could see were in multiple parts or hours long, or were so short they didnt cover everything! technically soldier was never an actual soldier, though during ww2 he tried to enlist but was deemed not mental stable enough to serve so he just went to Germany on his own and started killing Nazis, im not joking this is the lore.

1:08 For those that don’t know, the first mercs they hired were real people (except for the Chinese and African American). Lincoln is the obvious one. His life was saved by TF2 Engineer’s grandpa by using a time machine and he ended up working for the Mann Bros. The ones in aprons are Nikola Tesla (their Engineer) and Sigmund Freud (Medic). The Chinese (Spy) and African American (Heavy) are Fu Manchu and John Henry. For the others, their Sniper was Davy Crockett, their Scout was Billy the Kid, their Soldier is Stonewall Jackson, and their Demo is Alfred Nobel.

It's really been over 5 years since the last comic went out. I remember it was always a treat to get a new comic, and the big gap between #5 and #6 made hold out hope for #7 for the longest time. I used to check that site every week hoping that a new comic was available, and then it turned into once a month, just hoping that the comic was sitting around and a valve employee finally decided to hit publish. Thank you for this video, it was a real treat to remember not just the love I had for the game, but for the characters and story. TF2 did something really special with the time it had, and that's something I don't see anyone being able to replicate

@@The.Grimhound yes, a magical tool that heals injuries in seconds, a fucking teleporter, a jetpack, a rocket launcher that can load 4 rockets in the tube and somehow fire them individually, a shield that makes you run so fast you can literally fly, energy drinks that makes you invulnerable, a fucking star trek replicator (the dispenser), the cloak watch and disguise kit, a portable minigun (literally impossible since such a gun has an enormous energy requirement to function), the cow mangler, the bison, magic boots that makes you not die when you blow yourself up, a haunted sword, a rifle that shoots piss at you, the crossbow, the vaccinator, a sandwish and banana that heals your wounds in seconds when consumed, and many more things. Truly primitive equipment :)

I love this so much because A) I knew Jack shit about the lore and now I know a lot. B) it's so short, simple and great at telling me the lore. And C) I never even knew there was comics,of the game and I got to say I love them. Though I hope that issue #7 will actually be made and if not I hope Jay Pinkerton keeps his word. But he seems familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. And one last thing I never knew that these comics were as recent a *2017,* for a game made in *2011.* Just let that fought sink in, a game that's 11 years old( as of Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 and as of writing) was making comics even after 6 years after it's debut. Now that's what I call dedication. What isn't dedication is not making issue #7, lol. Anyways, this is my first video from you and I hope it's not my last because I expect great tf2 content fom you
