I love it. I abuse it constantly. Nothing gives me such a rush of power as suddenly becoming a goddamn power class and decimating three people in a row who had no chance against me.

@@theunchosendude5446 I would be a lot more forgiving of the Wrangler if it didn't have the busted shield. I do understand that it makes you feel powerful, but It is absolutely painful trying to get through a chokepoint with 2-3 engis winning the game through abusing its damage absorption.

On defense it's great, but I was talking about offense as well. I'm going out there deploying 300 health mini sentries and fucking over anyone in the current area. It's actually really effective against heavies, because at a certain range your damage output becomes higher than the heavy's due to the mini sentry's superior accuracy. On top of that, heavy's slow movement means that he's committed to every engagement he puts himself into. Place a mini into the right spot, wrangle it, and you'll force the heavy to take on a fight they have no chance of winning. Hell, one time I made a heavy being pocketed by a vaccinator medic retreat. You know a weapon is powerful if you can make a fucking full on heavy medic combo run the other direction.

This is what I mean by becoming a power class. Usually, a direct hit soldier has to fire one rocket to destroy your mini and two rockets to kill you (since you now have extra health from the gunslinger). Tack on the Wrangler and all of a sudden three rockets becomes five total rockets. This is important because it means he will need to reload in the middle of fighting you. All of a sudden, this guy who would decimate you in a 1v1 fight becomes a slightly easier target. You steer the odds slightly in your favor against classes that would usually eat you for lunch. This is the reason why I love the Wrangler. It's busted, but goddamn, if it gives me a fighting chance when the soldier on the defending team is running the direct hit and the demo is running the loch n load, then I will sure as hell take it.
