Hey all! I decided to change the title of this video because it took approximately 8 minutes for people to get upset about the original one. Also, I was incorrect about the way the Damage Res between the Liberty Launcher and Gunboats works, as it's actually multiplicative and not additive. The general vibe of the section is still the same, it's still a very big damage resistance, but that specific part of the commentary warrented correcting. Either way, I hope y'all enjoy!

I honestly think a lot of these are very underrated and probably not the main combo someone thinks of, but for Engineer an even more underrated combo in my opinion is the Frontier Justice with the Eureka Effect for Ninjaneering. Racking up Sentry Kills, having it be destroyed and teleporting behind Enemy lines to unleash 15 crits on the sniper and medic is very fun and Ninjaneer in general is a very underrated subclass. The Widowmaker and Panic Attack are also very fun for Ninjaneer, and the Pistol is probably the best secondary.

One combo I like using that I don't see others using is the Buffalo Steak plus Fists of Steel. The fists midigate the damage taken from the steak, which allows you to better close the distance on enemies. Ans they'll often panic too much to think to take out their melee

The Saharan Spy set used to give something like 70% quieter decloaks, which basically brought the dead ringer down to the volume of the stock watch decloak. Combined with the old dead ringer stats and that was one crazy set.

backscatter + bonk + atomizer is a perfect combo to get behind your enemy's line, kill them when they least expect it, then get out. just try it and you will understand what i mean

The Bar and the GRUE are such a slick combo together, and its pretty much my main secondary and melee on Heavy ever since I found out about it. I also just like the Bar because that extra HP randomly comes up and I rarely get Medics hanging around me in casual, so the downside to it isn't a big deal. Plus, fast Heavy.

Combine that with the fact that the heightened max HP procs the damage resistance of the Brass Beast and Natasha earlier. I personally use the Brass Beast, it really is nice.

Here's a few that I like: Backburner + Jetpack has become one of my new favorite ways to play Pyro. Pistol is my preferred secondary with the Gunslinger. The CM (demoknight sword, not gonna try to spell it) is my favorite Hybrid Knight sword. The longer charge pairs exceptionally well with the Tide Turner.

I'm personally a huge fan of the Lister combo of Dragon's fury + scorch shot, that combination is just plain fun and is also a cool alternative to traditional flare combo Pyro

My personal favorite combo on Medic is honestly the Quick-Fix + Overdose, faster uber charging, more movement speed for getting around, it's pretty fun

Something i try these days is fat scout with shotgun and boxing gloves for crit, and have a backup brass beast when im in the ennemy line, to get them from unexpected angles It works fine, and is damn fun to play

Man, its nice to hear the cleaners carbine bushwacka getting some love, seeing how its been my go to sniper loadout for the past 2 and a half years. It, if you pair it with the huntsman (which I highly reccomend) is just about the easiest way to man demoknights wanna die short of picking pyro. The ability of short to midrange damage with huntsman, the actual intended cleanups of the carbine, and the bushwacka making anyone who gets into a fight with you blink in confustion for the duration of the respawn timer is gold. If you feel rifle sniper is boring, i reccomend this one.

For Medic, overdose with solemn vow works wonders too. Build up Über with a fast medigun like the quickfix, then rush a desired target with the extra speed. The -15% damage penalty is negligable because its only taking off like 1 maybe 2 damage off a syringe.

I find blutsauger+quickfix to be better because I’m able to kill basically anyone who isn’t rocket or sticky spamming my feet while mitigating my lack of crossbow with the fast heals

for spy, imo, big earner and deadringer is a very fun combo to use. The deadringer helps spy's survivability since he has 100hp now and each stab he gets refills the deadringer cloak slightly, pair it with the letranger, even more cloak

The other day i decided to try playing as Spy when I realized an odd synergy of two of their (as the fandom decrees) worst weapons: Your Eternal Reward and the Enforcer. Just the real simple idea of getting in their and chaining stabs while no one notices and the instant someone DOES notice, well you are right there, disguised, with a gun. Makes the getting caught out part of spy a TEENSY more fair. Also would like to shout out my other Stupid Build: The Speavy. With the Tomislav, Buffalo Steak, and Holiday Punch for what is effectively the worlds worst Spy boasting a silenced weapon and backstab potential.

Blutsauger + Solemn Vow is definitely very fun if you want to play battle med. Add in the Quick-fix to ensure your teammates are topped up on overheal and then pick off low health enemies. The true battle med set is so fun. Just practice with syringe gun tracking b4 playing with it

Ah, the classic Blutsauger + Solemn Vow combo, AKA, the *Doctor Large Loadout.* It’s one of my favorites by far!

Wrap assassin and cleaver can be very effective as a combo too. At base damage, hitting both projectiles will cause the bleed to stack and deal around 145 damage total, killing light classes if you hit both projectiles, and crippling many others. However, if you perform a Scout main secret, you will always get critical hits with the wrap assassin (it's an exploit). This turns that 145 damage into 175, which crosses the threshold just enough to kill every class but Soldier, demoknight, and Heavy. It's a budget cleaver combo, with a few other upsides compared to the old sandman/ cleaver one, including: - Deals just 25 less damage than the old cleaver combo - Can go in any order (cleaver - WA/ WA - cleaver) - Much faster recharge time overall compared to the old combo - Can be done at any distance (close range whereas sandman never stunned in close) - Even if missing the second projectile, damage will still be done and the enemy will still be easier to finish off regardless - And best of all, NO HEALTH PENALTY. These upsides honestly make it better in a way than the old sandman/ cleaver combo. It's much more situationally viable. I use it all the time and get some pretty neat kills with it sometimes. My favourite pairing with it though is the FaN, because you can pull of some sick combos (and a little hidden extra exploit, you can use this loadout to silence the FaN so you can FaN jump around in their backlines completely silently. I'll let you figure that out on your own, but it's pretty sick and let's you live out the ultimate ninja Scout fantasy loadout).

I still remember my early TF2 days, maybe vaguely aware of the Frontier Justice, but not enough to recognize its model or crit glow. So when I’d charge an Engie and they’d pull out their crit charged FJ, my first thought before instant death was “oh wow, that’s a cool looking gun, which one is that?”

I always play Y.E.R+dead ringer you get into the disguise as your own team to use dead ringer to get behind enemies, get a sneaky pick to take enemy disguise, and then you are the phantom menace.

A new favorite of mine is Direct Hit + Buff Banner. Gets rid of damage fall-off, which is one of DH's biggest weaknesses, AND gives it a little damage boost that adds Medic, Gunslinger Medic, and 0-head Eyelander Demo hybrid knights to the list of things it can one-shot.

02:36 do'nt forget, the first reload will always take some additional time, if you wait more you'll be able to reload more rockets in shorter time. So yeah, only having 1 rocket in the clip is a big problem.

People tend to think of the air strike as the liberty launcher but better, and if you wana know why ima leave the stats for self damage here, straight off the tf2 wiki: Liberty launcher: 27-89 Air strike: 23-75 Liberty launcher (rocket jump): 20-35 Air strike (rocket jump): 23-39 Effectively what this means is when you hit yourself with a rocket while grounded, the liberty launcher does 5-14 *more* damage to yourself compared to the air strike, while if you hit yourself with a rocket while not on the ground the air strike does 3-4 more self damage. However, I’ve still found the gunboats to pair very well with the air strike, arguably even better than the BASE jumper.

funny thing about the dalokohs + gloves combo is that if you keep swapping between the bar and the gloves a few times before eating it, it bugs the health drain to stop way earlier than it should, between like 150 to 276 health. very funny for melee heavy.

I have never seen another person mention LL+gunboats, its so fun, it lets you become ultra mobile at the cost of being a worse frontliner so its better for less objective focused modes.

One of the combos I really like using is the "falcon punch" heavy loadout with the Buffalo Steak Sandvich and the KGB- Why rely on random crits or your standard 65 melee damage to get those guaranteed crits when you can eat a steak and use mini crits + faster move speed to secure kills way easier? Pair it with the faster spin up of the tomislav and you can even freely laser your enemies across the map! P.S. Blutsauger works great with Amputator too to offset the decreased HP regen (:

6:18 unpopular opinion: the gunslinger isn’t as good as the jag. The jag is slightly slower sentry setup, but at least you have the ability to level the sentry up later. Also panic attack/short circuit is REALLY powerful: start with 195 metal, shoot 3 energy balls while closing the distance, and have it automatically swap to the panic attack after the third blast.

I used to run only Jag on engi, but once I realized the utility potential of Eureka Effect I've used it almost exclusively. Jag is still great for upgrading buildings fast near spawn, whether that's during setup time or during the round when I switch to engi briefly to upgrade someone's level 1 teleport

i think a cool video idea would be weapons with negative effects that are actually positive some examples: boston basher: bleed can be used for uber generation equalizer/escape plan/back scratcher: lower healing rates also helps build uber beggars bazooka: overload can be used for mid air jumps wrangler: sentry deactivation prolongs shield so it can be used for tanking rescue ranger: 4 to 1 metal to healing “penalty” is better than using a wrench red tape recorder: specifically when with dealing with mini sentries the longer sap time can waste more time gunslinger: mini sentries can be better in certain situations random aside is the man melter just a straight upgrade from the flare gun? like only red text is that it doesn’t do random crits.

Nope, manmelter is alternative option that suits phlog pyro better(or if you want to conserve ammo, such as with backburner)but it's not direct upgrade. It can only deal serious damage with the stored crits. If you never get to extinguish your teammates(for example 0 pyros in enemy team, altough some other sources can also light people on fire)then you will never get any crits.

i guess this technically falls into the combo pyro category but my favorite weapons to use are the dragonsfury + scorch shot. the scorch shot can lock enemies into place for a few moments which gives more time to deal some hefty damage with the dragonsfury

One thing that I feel is a tad overlooked is The Warrior Spirit's capability to punish Spies that either whiffed a backstab or failed their Stealth checks, especially Kunai Spies. Yeah it's not the GRU or the FoS but the option to whip out a nice 85+ damage punch on a Vanilla-esque Heavy loadout is nice.

Could have gone with Backburner + Detonator/Jetpack for Pyro. Short Circuit + Eureka Effect for Engineer also lets you be very frustrating for explosive classes with very little downtime, especially alongside other engineers.

Personally I found a fun combo set for scout that I found rather effective and fun. I dub it "the long range scout". Just use the shortstop, flying guillotine and the wrap assassin and try to get behind the enemies. You will be a nuisance for them

Liberty launcher is underrated as a launcher honestly. Thr fast projectiles that still explode on impact makes it really good since most people won't be able to dodge it

I personally believe the synergy between the liberty launcher and the gunboats isn't out done by most other weapons with the market gardener, so it's more of a 3 way combo unless you just really like dealing chip damage from high ground and making enemy gamers do the annoyed walk of shame away from the front lines as they go to get a health kit along with the rest of their team because they have no medic. Crit-a-cola short stop although interesting shows both how short the minicrit effect you receive is and how missing a single shot means you missed a kill as it's super punishing when it comes to securing long range kills if you miss even once. So second verse same as the first, you end up making gamers do the annoyed walk of shame instead of actually killing anyone. I'd rather just bum rush them with a scattergun as the combo feels like I'm playing diet demoman unless I manage to get past the enemy team. Blutsauger is slept on I will agree but Solemn Vow is just removing a utility slot if you don't have the game sense to know which enemies you can secure kills on or when you can start gunning with your patent to help secure the kill faster. I will endlessly call the Solemn Vow a game sense crutch and you can't really convince me otherwise. Instead pair it with the Amputator. As for the Blutsauger it's actually really good for when your team isn't protecting, can't protect, or won't protect you. If you ever can't figure out how to use it, just back peddle and shoot where the enemy is going. Your goal with any syringe gun in 80% of cases is to survive, not to kill your enemy. And yes, sometimes the only way to survive is by killing the enemy. The 20% of cases when the goal is to kill your enemy is when your pocket sucks ass at killing things and you need to pick up the slack for them or you find yourself alone with an enemy you know you can kill. Amputator rant: The ammount of times you run out of healing to keep everyone alive when you leave home with out the crossbow or quickfix is actually nuts, (Sometimes the quickfix doesn't even help with out an uber.) especially when people jump into combat the second they see a medibeam attached to them, even at cripplingly low health, and even when they're surrounded by other low health teammates who need your healing more. The amputator lets you heal them with out notifying them while simultaneously healing the rest of your team so that your idiot teammates don't get themselves and everyone else killed by forgetting you can only heal one person at a time. Because of this I never leave home with out the amputator or crossbow. One of them absolutely needs to be in my load-out at all times otherwise my ability to keep my teammates alive is immediately out of my hands. And if you know pub players you know they can never be trusted to keep themselves alive. Zatoichi tide turner works on hybrid knight as well. It just takes some pipe skill and game sense to make it work but I honestly think it works better on hybrid knight then full demoknight ever since the tide turner nerf. You're still really only able to secure kills who can't really fight back thanks to the tide turner nerf since anyone who can aim shuts you down imedeatly due to the charge drain from recieving damage. As a result it peforms increadibly well when you can soften enemies up to die in one hit which lets you stay at a range where you can avoid and deal damage until they're vunurable. Furthermore you can actually participate in teamfights. Sure you can't ping pong but ping ponging is increadibly rare now days anyways with out guarenteed melee crits. If you really want to melee kill chain use the persian perswader. That's even more underated then zatoichi and it works with the other shields. Just don't play like a bitch and go for the kill with the Perswader, even at 1hp. You've got nothing to loose when you use it so just go for it.

i love this video, but I do disagree with your statement that the YER is only useful with the Le't. Spy is my most played class and my favorite combo is YER, C&D, and Dimond. yes it has about 5 seconds of cloak, but by standing still you can charge the cloak meter up to full, disguise and remain cloaked the whole time.

One of my personal favorite combos that I never see run is the Direct Hit + Base Jumper. Yes rocket jumps stay expensive, and you are entirety reliant on your primary, but using the two in tandem enables some really satisfying ambush bombing runs. Rockets deal more damage the closer Soldier is to his target, and since the basejumper lets you stay above your enemies, you have an easier time landing those rockets while also avoiding the splash damage. It's not always the most effective combo, but damn is it a lot of fun.

I used this same combo to get an Air-to-air kill. It was on mountain lab, and was absolutely glorious

Shortstop with Crit a Cola is super overrated combo, you basically get to play as slightly easier sniper for a couple of seconds each next minute. I'd argue Shortstop works best with flying cleaver and wrap assassin, turning you into mid range subclass

detonator's way better with the phlog than the scorch shot and nobody wants to say it. it lets you jump in further to get into the phlog's effective range better, and it creates more dopamine, and it makes it a lot easier to phlog cancel. the only thing about the detonator is that it takes a little more skill to time the flare detonations but it's way better in every way other than brain power needed to use it

I mean, the Detonator is better than the Scorch Shot in pretty much every way except for the fact that it requires a bit more thought to use. It even has higher DPS in most circumstances.

Detonator is direct upgrade to Scorch shot but the issue is that it require skill to use while Scorch shot not.

the detonator just takes a little learning, and once you do, it's way more fun than anything the scorch shot will ever give you. it makes the phlog cool

I gotta say, the most tragic part of the phlog scorch shot combo is that both weapons actually have quite high skill ceilings by themselves. The phlog has phlog canceling, an extremely difficult high-risk high reward action that can clear a whole team without needing a medic girlfriend stuck to you the whole time, and the scorch shot can have crazy mobility and damage output if you use it outside of just spamming. But, sadly, together, they make one of the most annoying toxic combos in all of tf2.
