The one on the server is always the correct one and there its impossible that a backstab happens when one player isnt showing his back to another on the server version. It still may look like a facestab on the clientside cuz of things like lag, server prediction etc, but in the server version, its always a clear backstab.

if you dont wanna get stabbed, just dont hunt him. Most trickstabs only work if you chase the spy. Also, if you consistently strafe, all trickstabs are not possible. Still when ur strafing spys can pull out the circle strafe stab but this is a very advanced technique so only spy pros can pull it of consitently. Also, as i said, if you dont follow/chase a spy he has no opportunity to trickstab you and so he has to take his revolver, which takes long to kill you so if ur not a medic you will probably kill the spy before he kills u. 90% of trickstabs happens because ppl are greedy and want the spy kill, like the guy in the video: "oh sweet a free head" (thats what he said). If ppl werent so greedy they wouldnt get what they deserve. Spy isnt rlly a strong powerclass which can change the game, so even if he escapes its not really a big problem.

not really he actually died half a second before it looked like he did, but the information hadn't reached his client yet and when you look at him half a second before he apparently died, he's facing a little away from the spy - the only reason why it doesn't look like he can be backstabbed is because he's slightly behind the spy however, if you rewind his hitbox a little, the spy is easily behind him - and that is what the server sees it looks ridiculous for the you, but you do not see what the server sees and yes i know i'm totally a spy main trying to justify a facestab. fight me.
