Heavy is the coolest though. in MY opinion, the Buffalo Steak needs to be more of a Classic Doom Berserker pack aka gives healing along with the melee boosts, which in TF2 terms is give Buffalo Steak Sandvich level self healing that can also give temporary health for 450HP as a MELEE only class that still has the 20% damage vulnerability for 16 seconds(better to have 450HP and 20% dmg vul then 300HP and 20% dmg vul. And then you factor in the Warrior Steak 30% dmg vul.). Doom also has Glory kills, which TF2 version is the HP On hit and HP on Kill. For the Steak, give it 15HP on Hit and 35HP on Kill that can overheal on the MELEE MODE Heavy. This makes the Buffalo Steak cooked from Raw to Rare and gives a MUCH better Melee Heavy subclass. of course the Warrior's Spirit needs some improvement. First, lowering the 30% damage vulnerability to 15% damage vulnerability, immediately makes it better(better to have 20% dmg vul Steak plus 15% dmg vul Bear Claws for 35% dmg vul then 20% dmg vul Steak plus 30% dmg vul Bear Claws for 50% dmg vul aka more then the Marked for Death debuff), 30% more damage is 15% more damage plus 15% more swing speed, no random crits for minicrits are crits. also, give the Bear Claws 15HP on hit and 50HP on kill that can combo with the Steak 15HP and 35HPfor 30HP on hit and 85HP on kill, but only that. this makes the Secondary and Melee of the Hibernating Bear set have more synergy. what do you think of this?

Objectively wrong about Red Army Robin tho. Heavy tells a story in Poker at the Inventory about how when he was little he saw another kid kill a bird in front of him. He sounded very distraught about it, so it'd make sense for him to now let a tiny bird perch on his shoulder in the middle of a battlefield. It's cute in the same way a big biker rescuing a kitten from the side of the road is cute.

Abudance of clearly "american" cosmetics for Heavy, starting with football helmet, in my opinion, can be explained by A) There isn't really that much "russian" things you can put on heavy that people will understand the same way they can understand an Elvis hair or indian hat. Russian culture is difficult like that in general. You have ancient times, known by mostly no one abroad (and few in russia itself, really); you have less ancient times, dominated by western (read - french) culture; and you have soviet times, which, quite sadly, are best represented by WWII reference cosmetics or something like /Officer's/ Ushanka. So I imagine when it came to designing cosmetics for Heavy (back when Valve did it themselves), there were not that many standing out, bright and catchy things to pick from. B) Perhaps, it's a reference to interactions between soviet people and the western culture. Getting to know what it is, trying things out, exploring it and so on. Heavy is an intelligent person, so maybe he's simply interested in trying out all those things. Maybe it's representation of seeking inspiration for writing a book of his own? This, of course, is also only relevant back when there was an intelligent desing behind TF2. I highly doubt makes of endless sandwich cosmetics think that hard on what they are doing.

@ColonelKlink1965 yeah, but they sure don't act like Zesty described, the comics add a lot to the Universe of Team Fortress which a good thing considering the other games have greatly benefitted from expanding on theirs (like Portal and Left 4 Dead) You could say CS and Tf2 are both muktiplayer games and they don't require an interesting story to make the gameplay good, both only had their own style one about terrorist and where they would plant bombs and tf2 about the 60s and territorial control of the badlands But tf2 and CS have very little in common, tf2 has 9 unique classes with their own exaggerated recognizable traits, if the game didn't try to explain the job of these mercenaries and how this bunch of lunatics came to be the Team Fortress we know and love it's be kind of sad It's a bit of a rant, not liking the comics is an opinion that Zesty can certainly have, but it's a pretty fucking terrible one, even if it goes a bit crazy, the creator did an amazing job with the characters
