Ever seen a person’s weapon and assumed something about how they play? Well, you’re not alone. In fact, most weapons in TF2 hold a certain stereotype. This series of videos aims to go over some of the most well-known weapon stereotypes in TF2.
Please keep in mind that I’m not saying that anyone who uses a certain weapon is a certain type of person. These videos are for fun. Sorry if I hurt your feelings or something.

Blame Soundsmith fans for spamming Valve about how it was unfun when 90% of them probably never even used it themselves, and only died to it by running in a straight line towards their enemies. That combo took skill to use, and it is a plain insult to act as if Scouts using it were using it as a crutch weapon.

Once in a serious control point match, everybody on my team went scout, used the atomic punch (kill binding to give it to some people who didn't have it) and then rushed the contol point. It actually worked. I wonder what the other team thought when they saw 20 bonk scouts run past them.

I actually use the baby faces blaster because honestly I like to move fast, I used to use the soda popper, and even before that I used the back scatter. For other bfb scouts use the cleaver if you can aim it while you need to run away or use the milk if there’s a billion pyros in a server. Best melee is always the wrap assassin since it can be fired from a range and slowly build up speed, you won’t get kills with this but at least that gibusvision sniper and medic are dead.

I have no idea which episode it was, or if it was a one-off, but they were slaphappy and the sheriff was talking about trying to shoot a wolf and kept missing, which was the catalyst for that piece of comedic gold.

Linus Norby I think it’s in one of his Q&As. If I recall correctly, he’s just loading up empty servers through the developer console using the “map” command, and then he knows the commands to load up bots and give him unlimited HP and ammo. It could also be a custom server he’s on that has bots and gives him the unlimited health and ammo. If you want to do it yourself on an empty server for practice, you can find lists of commands online for whatever you need. It’s isolated to your computer, so you don’t have to worry about random people joining or whatever, and it allows you to use server cheats (“sv_cheats 1” in console), which is what you need on for most of the mods you see.

Good news! The Pocket Pistol is actually good now! Yeah, it got reworked again. Now it fires faster and gives 3 health back on hit, but the clip size is decreased. Pretty balanced in my opinion (that is, if you can aim).

Stun mechanic for Scout was fair given it took skill to use and was not effective at closer ranges. People who act like Scouts using the combo had no skill and were using it as a crutch were coping to all hell and back. That thing was not easy to hit consistently, and if you point to the cleaver combo videos, keep in mind two major things: 1. The video is selectively edited to 100% show all the kills with the combo and not show all the fails with it that likely got said Scout player killed. 2. A lot of the players in the montage videos were standing relatively still, and the ones that weren't took a lot of prediction and precision to hit.

You clearly do not remember that version of the sandman at all. Valve made it so you couldn't double jump with that version of the sandman, which was very weird as a balancing choice but it was still arguably broken. Pre-Jungle Inferno sandman, however, wasn't broken at all, and people complaining about it 9 times out of 10 never tried using the weapons themselves. Even back then the sandman on its own was seen as a downgrade because the health penalty would put you below quite a few thresholds meaning you'd get instakilled by more things. Almost no good Scouts used it unless it was paired with the flying guillotine, and even that wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. So basically Valve stomped the sandman and the cleaver into their graves for no good reason other than Soundsmith fans were angry about it. Sad.

The damage downgrade doesn't matter if ur better at melee then everyone else u play against, it's like flexing and the bleed on pcs on low settings can make it so they can't see at all and can be enough to retreat as some players freak out from bleed affect

I actually use the Pocket Pistol. Very useful when jumping out at people with the Force-A-Nature. Off cliffs away! I also use the Holy Mackeral. Mostly for the lols, but it also can be used on Spies, so you'll know when they Dead Ringer. In the obituatries, if it doesn't say "FISH KILL!" they're still alive.
