Your high value, substantially informative videos have been appreciated by me for a number of months. I take notes, keep files, and review as if it were a class. Even though accustomed by now to the exceptional standard of this series, I was still surprised by the level of this Kali Kula video. I heard a number of things, quite meaningful things, for the first time, including perspectives on the name and nature of Kali, as well as how to distinguish her major forms. Also, you confirm that tantra extends far beyond its valuable and better known auxiliary practices in the service of health, practical insight, and serenity. Furthermore, you make it clear to people like myself that the practice of tantra is of a different order from the religion of sacred study and the (relatively less formalized) devotional attention to select deities. It is increasingly clear to me what would be involved in tantric pursuits-the level of determination; the temperament to submit oneself--almost always non-negotiably--to a prolonged and demanding practice of precise yogic procedures; and (last but certainly not least) profound faith in the mantrika deity that progressively manifests as the sadhana succeeds…. Clearly I’m unqualified for all that, but still I’m attracted to information on Tantra. I am keen, very keen, to hear about the nature of Hindu deities, and the people in contact with Hindu deities, and the methodology of people in contact with Hindu deities. Not the whole integral tantrik program, but certain aspects of it would be safely applicable to persons like myself. Therefore, a big THANK YOU, Vishwa, for the savvy and energized knowledge you share.

Namaste 🙏 Respected Sir, I also am a Shakta Devotee from USA. I appreciate this so much. Dear Sir, can you share the titles of some of the books you have on your bookshelf if they pertain to Shaktism/Shaivism, I'd be so grateful if there is something there I should also have. Thank you so much 🕉️ 🪷🙏🪷 🪷🙏🪷

On that bookshelf, majority of them are on yoga and some are on Tantra, but I have done a video on tantric text and listed the text names, many of my tantra books are now in digital form so that you can easily carry wherever and whenever you need it.

I find this all very interesting. I am not nearly as familiar with Hindu Tantra as I am with Buddhist (Raja Yoga?) and Tibetan practices (like Dzogchen), as well as Gnosticism (which bear a lot of similarities). I do know I have achieved some deep meditative states while playing guitar. I am curious to know if there are any traditional yogic/meditation practices that involve playing an instrument ?
@VishwaYoga3 жыл бұрын
Simple answer is Yes Music can be used for Meditation. Meditation is not only sitting and closing eyes as presented in picture. The real masters are in meditative state even they are doing regular activity of life. In reality each of us go into initial meditation stage called Dharana or concentration every day even for few seconds when we are deeply concentrated into into something, we are just not aware of that state. But when you are awareness you are in meditative state.

I'm interested in what you said about a person choosing a form of kali that fits their character or personality. How to know which is right for you? For example I'm very attracted to the wrathful forms of Kali. They inspire in me a strong feeling of devotion, surrender and feeling of shakti. The more terrifying and fearful she is the more I feel inspired to surrender my ego. Otherwise surrender and devotion is something very difficult for me.

🙏vishwa ji. Would you please tell in which text is the hymn PANCHASTAWI written. This is the hymn commonly recited by kashmiri pandits for invoking Shakti in Somya roopa.
@VishwaYoga11 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question. PANCHASTAWI is a text in itself, devoted to the most beautiful Goddess Tripura Sundari. It consists of five chapters, each chapter has roughly between 20-40 verses. It is considered like a sister text of Saundarya Lahiri.
