Tf Classic gives me the same feeling when I started playing TF2. Something new to explore, having fun with loadouts, and hope for new content to come. It may not be like that now and many still pray for Valve to get their shit together. TF Classic does give me some hope even if it is foolish. That spy explosion is called The Red Button. You're marked for death and can only reset it by hitting a resupply locker, or die trying to nuke a control point. Basically area denial that replaces your sapper, I think.

idea for an engineer weapon.... a lasso! it'd be a secondary and can't damage people directly, but it let's him grab people at a moderate distance and bring them closer, essentially reverse-airblasting them. usefull for pulling friends out of harm or back onto solid ground, or pulling enemies out of cover and into turrets. it also would automatically switch to your primary after you pull someone
