I remember a few years ago a guy showed up at my local range with a .25 cal PCP air rifle, and he basically shut down the range cause we were all amazed by it. We were all shocked by how quiet and accurate it was at 100 yards. The sound of the projectile hitting the target at that range was louder then the rifle. One of the ROs asked him what he uses it for and his answer was taking out squirrels and birds that annoy him while bowhunting. I became convinced that day that air rifles are where the real innovation was gonna happen in the US hunting market. Just need the hunting laws to catch up with the technology. Thanks for the video James. 👍

This is *SO COOL.* I love guns and all, but I REALLY love air guns. I think the rep is right that airgun hunting (medium-to-large game) is absolutely the wave of the near future. I use my airguns a lot at home for fun and have taken out countless pigeons and sparrows. The hardest pill to swallow is the PCP requirement of a source of high-pressure air, either buying a SCUBA tank and regularly taking it somewhere to fill it or buying a super-high-pressure compressor...

@@SynthiaVan It we pre crazy prices last time I was browsing, but at the time a 120 or 240v AC powered unit was starting around $900 for an iffy model, more like $1500-$2000 for a well proven design 😵 then I was turned onto the 12V portable versions that can be had for a fraction of the price! Most well reviewed units start around $250 and higher end (usually just better quality control, similar components) or name brand units are $600. I've spent over $300 on standard 120v 120psi output aircompressors multiple times! 😖 With the current ammunition prices it wouldn't take long to pay for itself! and that's discounting the funfactor of pcp airguns 😉 BTW I do feel redeemed... I did just buy a new $450 Estwing ultra quiet 200psi air compressor for $103 on clearance at Lowes 😁 they ordered a pallet of them for Christmas season, 5 just kept sitting in the back corner until last week I noticed that only one was remained after they were previously marked down from $350 to $270 for a few weeks at a time... I guarantee the guy before me bought 4 of them 🤣 I may have bought all 5 🤦♂️

Cant speak to this particular airgun, but HPA airguns typically work in the cold unlike CO2
@DeckDogs4Life2 жыл бұрын
It would likely depend on HOW cold but I would guess in most North American temps, you would probably not have issues. Maybe lose a shot per tank if you filled it up in the warmth of your house and went into the cold, but I would guess it wouldn't be too bad. I feel like if you filled it up in your 40F garage and went into 10F temps, you would likely not see much loss if any. That said, I cannot speak for this rifle, just other experiences with shooting air guns.

As has already been stated by Zendell, there are plenty of PCP's that are regulated. You might be interested in checking out a bit of information on FX airguns, Daystate, Walther and Weihrauch. It can only shoot four times in one canister, before it needs to be refilled? I'm not so sure about this. So if you're out and about on a range day, to get more than four shots in, you'd have to bring your own pump/tank/compressor? It seems a bit impractical to me. Maybe it really is only meant for hunting, for people who only need to fire four shots. Does not seem practical to me, but everyone else seems to be positive in the comments section. Can someone please enlighten me on this subject, clearly there's something I'm not seeing.
