You go spend multiple days walking around SHOT and having to film, let's see how much energy you have for the camera. I've done it for SEMA, it's a grind.

Just curious but how many of you guys honestly have 2k to spend on a gun right now?

I mean, yeah. But this is pretty much geared towards PRS/NRL. From what I hear 2k is pretty cheap to get into that.

Give Joel a BREAK! John from Savage actually did a really good job sharing some product knowledge, Joel just let him take that baton. That rifle looks like a really good PRS platform. I myself kinda suck beyond 500m, so I am out.

I can't believe they didn't use the target trigger that comes on the 12lrp on this rifle! They completely missed the mark. Most people who are going to purchase this rifle will want something lighter than 2.5lbs, and the aftermarket trigger options for a savage aren't that great.
@derekstreeter31504 жыл бұрын
I agree, I have my trigger down to 1.4 to 1.5lbs

Have already sent mine back to the factory - bolt/firing pin stuffed - came with loose bolts and stretched threads on Bolts holding stock to barrel … Tikka shoots better out of the box - however - if you are a good reloaded - you wont get a better rifle

@@PrecisionRifleNetwork Good to hear. I own a RPR and I was shocked how rough the bolt is on these. I smoothed it myself, but still that's not what I expected even at this pricepoint. Now I look forward to the Savage even more

MDT ACC chassis are great! What barrel brand is that? I mean does Savage make the barrel in-house. I'm just thinking today about value and looking at reviews and KZbin videos, a standard Tikka T3x TACT A1 looks like value. Only thing I can imagine changing on the Tikka T3x TACT A1, is a Bartlein or Proof Barrel. Hopefully Joel or someone could clarify the barrel on the Savage offering. Some great actions, barrels, triggers and chassis out there and they are becoming very expensive. Joel, how many MDT magazines do you get with the Savage offering. A quick barrel, boldface and mag swap in the field would be great as per video below by Paul Reid kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqvbpYp3ppaKaKM

Barrel is good enough. Its all about the material and rifling and chamber job. Dont matter if a jim bob done it at Kreiger , or Tim Buck tooth Bartein , Or shebix at proof , Or Ryan at savage. Machining is machining. I have standard name barrel's on guns i won F1 with and manufacturers of these rip off shops most of time using less quality of machinery said they would pay me 5k to say i used their Barrel instead of Remington, or Savage. Some have asked me to even stamp there name on my barrel . Some of the best shooters in world dont even compete also. I have a 14yr old nephew who can shoot better than some known names .
