Martin is a good guy. I was at an NRA show and he was there talking to customers. At the time, I didn’t know who he was. I was looking for parts for my XT-22 22lr pistol. He told me where he thought I could find the parts, and I told him they weren’t there. He took down my information and had someone get back with me that day stating that the website didn’t have several parts listed and they were going to remedy the situation. They also sent me the parts for free.

Same with folks below - Why the 1/16 twist on the barrel? S&W did that on their M&P version 1's and everyone hated it! Reviews were showing tumbling on 124 grain rounds which is ridiculous.
@williamjames56642 жыл бұрын
1/16 is the best overall twist for 9x19, I had an original m&p 1/16, shot great never any keyholing, bought a later m&p that came with a 1/10 twist, did not shoot the hotter 115gr and 124 NATO, bought a 1/16 Wilson combat barrel, still shoots amazing. They use 1/10 because it will stabilize any 9mm in the short barrels which have lower mv, the original m&p 9 compacts were 1/10, the full size were 1/16, companies use 1/10 due to keeping cost down, one twist for all guns, its cheaper

Off topic - Was BUL Armory at SHOT Show this year? I mention this for good reason. This year I have been considering a new 'his & hers' acquisition (we do one every year). Top of the list is the BUL Armory SAS II TAC 4.25" or 5" for myself and the SAS II Ultralight 3.25" for her. Which brings up two more questions if I may. Will there be a follow up on the BUL Armory Ultralight you had previously covered on TFBTV? Or perhaps any future coverage of the current BUL Armory lineup? Lately I/we have been hooked on Israeli products. Started with the IWI X95 in the hard-to-find OD Green and it has snowballed ever since. Nonetheless, I greatly appreciate the hard work that went into all of this coverage gents. Kudos to the wives, girlfriends and significant others for putting up with the controlled chaos that is _SHOT Show._ Stay classy my friends.

I also wish Armcor would develop a AR-15 pistol in this caliber; with the use of Glock 30 rd magazines and an 8 inch barrel, I don't see why 2200 ft/sec couldn't be attained by the .22 TCM9R. The same ballistics up close as a rifle, just in a more compact setup.

I have one (STK100) and I really like it. If I paid $450-500 for any pistol, especially a 9mm, it will be a Glock17. I can't see anything about the STK100 that is worthy of a price more than what I paid for mine brand new, which was $349. Had it been $400, I would have left it in the case. Part of the reason for me is the fact that it still suffers from light primer strikes on certain ammo with harder primers and RIA knows about it, but instead of contacting their sellers just like auto companies do with TSB's and stuff, they let the customer take a gamble..that's just wrong. They're well aware of the issue yet ignore it until your pistol fails during a self defense situation.

I like RIA and I've been very interested in the STK100, but what a weird, contrary interview. Other than the annoying, "Uh.." between every sentence, he makes a big deal of being "the overall, overall boss" yet shows a distinct lack of knowledge and ultimately impotence (at the end he says he can't disclose anything because of his "sister". I thought he meant "sister company" be he then refers to her as "she"). I've been watching STK100 reviews ever since it came out and major complaints have NOT been sight plates but the quality, the twist and the grip getting slippery. I've worked enough corporate gigs to recognize the C-level who talks a big deal and takes credit for everything they can and it shows: claiming the sight plate is the big deal when it's probably the only thing they wanted to address (read:easy") rather than own up to QA, "If they ask I'm gonna send them $25 plates", "I didn't want polymer, I wanted to be unique", from a company best known for their 1911s . Rather than be truthful and call it an alloy Glock clone, which tbh its biggest selling point. He wades into sketchy, almost dangerous territory about modifying parts/barrels that don't fit :o (again referring to Zev, a Glock aftermarket parts manufacturer). Honestly he doesn't even sound like a gun guy but a (bad) marketing guy pretending to be a gun guy. Claiming colors were a big deal and didn't even know where they were or his "favorite color" (white) wasn't there. That part about the grip, "it allowed me to change it because I'm a 1911 guy." . It's not like there aren't hundreds of articles out there that explains why the 1911 excels. At the end again he makes it sound like a big deal that HE is bringing the price "down to $499". Again, ignorance and small d energy, when every other vendor would simply say, "an MSRP of $499" which we would all understand what that implies. Ultimately after this interview I am _less_ likely to buy an STK100 because of this guy. Maybe he's just all coked up or something (sniffles) but the overall takeaway from me is that RIA is out of touch with their customers/reality and the STK100 is doomed. EDIT: People seem impressed with his Customer Service. I have no personal experience with that but I've read/watched every STK100 review out there because I was so interested. There only a dozen. If he's so great at Customer Service why not respond to those complaints/issues? I'm give the video a thumbs up for the interview/info but a thumbs down to Martin/RIA for disingenuous lip service.

My buddy has the STK100 and I have a Gen 3 Glock 17. All things considered, the STK100 is a great handgun for the price when compared to a Glock. Having fired it myself, I wouldn't mind buying one. If your excuse is just "I don't see a practical reason", then what's the point of buying a Glock over an STK100? Or any other one of the numerous striker-fired pistols out on the market?
@Centermass7622 жыл бұрын
With that logic, what's the point in anything? PCCs are obsolete, .300blk works better in the same size platform. Revolvers are obsolete, semis do everything better. All steel and aluminum framed handguns are obsolete, polymer is strong and light. You could go on and on. Might as well only buy a quality AR, a Glock 17, and a Mossberg 500. What's the point in having any other guns?
@andreivaldez29292 жыл бұрын
Glocks just have a better track record of reliability and a larger aftermarket, and holster support than most other striker fired handguns. That's really the only reason I own one since I'm really not fond of their triggers or grip.
