I really like seeing when the manufacturer put some effort into making it look scale!
@DutchRC7 жыл бұрын
For sure! That is one of the nice parts of scalers I think :)

Very nice kit! The fit and finish seems even better than i initially thought; bit of a shame for the missing screws, but if that is the only con, it is very easily remedied. Good filming, with just the right amount of detail and clear explanations. Two thumbs up!

Howdy Alexis :) Yes! The build went well apart from them missing screws.. Pretty nice experience to build this one actually :) Thank you! I first wanted to include the actuall screwing etc as well, but the video is long enough as it is huh? :)

looks great! You can get a little more clearance by putting the servo in through the top and bolting it down some servos you may need to trim the front by the screw hols because they have a raised section of plastic.

Thanks man :) ohw yeah, but I'm gonna make the car a LOW rider anyway :D (NOT :P) Yes.. I'll try that as well.. I suspect there will be more of a chance for bump-steer, but I'll check that out :) Thanks man!

Is there any slop in the steering knuckles, if so how does it compare to a rc4wd trailfinder 2(which are notorious for steering knuckle slop)? Same question regarding the drive line, excessive slop?
@DutchRC7 жыл бұрын
Howdy James :) okee.. let me see.. Driveline slop: harly any really.. that's as tight as I could ask for. Steering slop: not really. Far less then the TF2. Wheel slop: a Bit more then I want at the front.. hardly any at the rear.. I think this can easily be solved with a shim between the outer bearing and the 12mm hex.. It's not more then with the TF2 by the way, but still more then I want.. That's about it :)

What motor did you use? It can fit only a small motor?
@DutchRC11 ай бұрын
I don't remember which one specifically, but a standard 540 size motor RC4WD use for their 1/10th scale scalers.. So not "small".. I'd say a normal size motor for a car like this

Bedankt alvast.
@DutchRC6 жыл бұрын

You're missing a panhard man. Other than that it looks good.
@DutchRC7 жыл бұрын
I did indeed wonder about that, but I think the car is supposed to be like this.. We'll just see how well it runs like this..

Traxxas servo? Hmm because it's waterproof? Sorry i skipped over some of the video. Looking good though!
@DutchRC7 жыл бұрын
I buy those servo's 'second hand' from a shop.. Thy are then new, because customers replaced them with faster / stronger servo's... The 2075 is a Good servo for boats though.. And well at 9Kg it is good enough for most scalers as well..
@DutchRC7 жыл бұрын
ps: one more reason for using that servo: It was in my parts bin :P
