What a great 1st truck, had a 95 7.3 as my first truck, was freakin awesome & loved it, had some expensive issues that were coming up & decided it had to go. Bought a 93 250 w a 7.3 idi w a 5spd & 3.55 gears. Gets 20-25mpg & am loving it! It’s hard to beat an old school truck.

Agree. Still have fond memories of my first vehicle when I was 16 in summer of 1968. It was a bone stock 3.70 rear 1957 Ford F100. Meadow green which was a pretty common color. Was in pretty decent shape for what was really a work truck in those days. No rust which was amazing in Pennsylvania. Except that it burned oil. Just kept a gallon can (yes they were cans in those days) of the cheapest stuff I could find in the cab. Paid $245 for it. Beat the living crap out of it for the entire summer hauling junk for people to have & save some money. Sold it when I went back to school in the fall for $250. My dad couldn't believe it because he knew what that truck went through.

Great series! Really enjoyed watching Davids can do attitude and impressive skill set. Equally enjoyable was Case and Tommy’s involvement in orchestrating the project and their skill sets in tech and mechanics. Wish more kids did this very same thing today, the icing on the cake was the donation to a great cause. One of TFL’s best.

I hope that young man works really hard to get that beast stuck like Dad said, that is what I used to teach my kids when they wanted to drive is let them get stuck and help them only a little to get it out, learn by doing. Aside from replacing the grille, hate to say this but the truck looked way better before you " restored it" it. Truck looked better with the white wagon wheels and original factory paint than noe with crappy paint and body work done. Sad to hear its going to a kid to be modded up further. Feel sorry the iconic original F350 is going to be hot rodded and not appreciated for what it is. Too bad
