The Scatpack comes in at the same price a 2018 Hellcat cost new then. It's faster, a totally new body style, will be much less expensive to power and maintain over time. With proper battery maintenance and charging the battery pack will go way more miles than the Hellcat engine! If you wish to say but battery packs aren't cheap to replace neither are Hellcat engines! I think there needs to be a price comparison between replacing the battery pack in one of these new EV chargers vs replacement cost for a Hellcat engine. I know a Hellcat engine alone is 30K. Then add in shoptime to replace it you got quite the bill. Also the EV Scatpack Charger with AWD will be faster on an unprepped surface. It will also be faster at any altitude. I would never pay over 60 K for a Hellcat and knowing the cost to replace a Hellcat engine and how in general they were born to beat on I'd never give more than 25k for a used one!

I believe what Stellantis was thinking is that if they release the EV first, people will see how great it actually is and they will adopt it. Those of us who actually buy muscle cars knew all along that isn't how it would go. So what ended up happening is they tanked their brand. Now they are scrambling trying to save the brands. There is no question that what they SHOULD have done is release the Six Pack version first, which would have gotten the car to market faster and would have sustained sales while they worked on the EV version. At this point they've screwed up so badly that the only thing that will save it is news of a new V8. Even the Six Pack version won't be enough now. People have moved on.

The reality is, V8 engines, especially in niche models like Dodge's, aren't top sellers. Look at the Charger, for example - the V6 significantly outsells the V8. Dodge has painted themselves into a corner with these limited-appeal powerhouses. Electric cars, on the other hand, are the future. I was skeptical too, but my Mustang Mach-E proved me wrong. It's not just faster than a V8 Mustang, but it's also maintenance-free. The only downside? It's a bit too quiet sometimes. Dodge's electric strategy is smart. They're targeting a broader market, including Tesla and Lucid buyers. While they might not immediately convert Hellcat owners, they're aiming to attract a new generation of performance enthusiasts.

the problem is the MSRP is too low! They need to raise the MSRP by about $20K before they are priced right!

This is my third review video now & as the two previous guys said, if this had come out in 2018, they would have had something for sure, but as it is, it's too expensive, too unfinished, too late to the party & there are better options, unless you have to have the old skool looks and noise ?.

Enjoyed the vidieo. I am a car guy. No idea who is going to buy at 70K plus EV Charger. Id buy a 2 year old C8 Z06 with a real motor. But what do I know.

Here's some questions for Adam Forte: 1. What will the price be when the $7500 tax payer funded down payment goes away? 2. Can he share the customer research data that resulted in this product? 3. Who is the target customer for the BEV Charger and what are the customer's education, income, age demographics? 4. What products does the BEV Charger compete against both ICE and BEV? 5. What was the development cost of the BEV Charger and over what time period does Stellantis expect to recover that investment. This will be very important to share holders. 6. How much money will Stellantis lose on each Charger sale? 7. What is the expected resale value of the BEV charger after three years of ownership. 8. What is the expect service life of the tires and brakes? 9. What is expected annual operating cost for the BEV Charger? 10. What is the warranty period and what is covered by the warranty?

Wow, that’s some serious Fratzonic speakers you can hear during the burnouts going on in the background. 🤣

Tommy called it a liftback. I think he meant hatchback but didn't want to use that term to describe a musclecar. It's an electric hot hatch. Stellantis should have called it the Duster or the Dodge Daytona EV because then they wouldn't be alienating all the Charger fans. On the Netflix show "Hyperdrive" there was a 1968 Charger drift car with a BMW M5 V8 engine. I loved watching that huge '68 Charger slide around the track and it was exciting to watch. When I look at this car there are some nice design elements for a new EV version of the 1980s Dodge Daytona Turbo Z but it doesn't look like a Charger to me. I don't get excited by the exterior design and I hate the interior. If you are designing a musclecar then don't fill the interior with screens. It's supposed to be a musclecar so it NEEDS analog gauges.

Buying a electric car from Stellantis for $70k when they’re recalling all their PHEVs is asinine.
